Air should be filled-up in the tyres preferably when the tyre is cold.

Vista or Swift, normal fuel is better - you may add System D (may be, after the initial run-in period of 500/1000 kms).

I suggest if you could go through discussions in this thread (link), especially page #7 onwards - it's interesting & will definitely help you in deciding what type of fuel should be used.

Dear Carcrazy,

Pankaj is right to mention that in highway Vista will be better planted as it got the big car feel. However in congested city lanes (if you have to use them) swift will be better.

However in this big hatch (diesel) segment the ultimate best car has to be the coming Fiat Grand Punto. I have seen them in Europe and they are too sexy, beyond comparison. Even Fiat India's dreaded service will find it very hard to kill the car.

punto is a fantastic car but will be priced more than the indica, palio, swift & all, its a league above all other cars mentioned above so it will come at that premium.

Everybody is Ga-Ga over Indica Vista. But has anybody paid any attention to it's weight? Indica V2 DLX weighs around 1050 kgs.with 14"wheels and has tyre problem since launch.[Eats tyre] Tyres get bald after 25-30K kms.Vista weighs around 1200 kgs with 13"tyres. What will happen to it after 15-20K kms? Tatas are good at diesel engines but failed with the body building of their cars.[Ask any Sumo driver how it jumps off the road at high speeds] Plus their service (TASC) is not bad but worst. Nobody there bothers about customers. This I am telling after driving Indica/indigo/Marina for about 5 years alongwith some Maruti vehicles. Why Maruti is so successful in India? They provide true VFM to the customers. Theirs service is best among the industry.Tata vehicle have no re-sale value whereas Maruti has best re-sale value. Why?It can be anybody's guess!
