the hyundai 10 is lot improved than the Santro and even the mialge and the resale will be better for the i10 , it would be better for you to go to the i10 , but if you are really atached to the looks of santro you could go for it as well .

so its upto to you to decide , however the Santro is not having nay defect or something and is perfect small car , but if you pay little more i10 will make it a worthy BUY!

Cheers,
Sri

well the swift is a better option i think you could buy the LXi swift , if possible try to get the Swift Dzire LXi as its just priced around 30k rs more than the Hatch swift! btw choice is yours to decided on dzire or swift! i feel you will get the extra boot for a good price! i mean the Swift Dzire LXI.

Sri

Also do have a look at the Aveo UVA as it offers excellent value, is easy to get as the booking period unlike the Swift is almost nil and has a three year maintenance free offer, its also spacious and contemprory.

Dear Ashish , better go for Swift DZIRE and its a good choice too , but the LXi version doesnot come with Music system , but VXI comes with music system , fog lamps, wheel covers , 4 door power windows and central loccking for 40k rs more , and mind you resale will also be around 0k - 25k rs more for the VXi version than the LXi , so better go for the Swift DZIRE VXI

Sri

Well, I beg to differ over Sri a little. Ashish - the first question is - do you actually need a boot?? If yes, then Dzire makes sense - but, if you don't then why even carry it along with you everywhere - I would strongly recommend you not to go for Dzire if you don't need a boot in real sense because it comes with a bit more of issues  - while parking - especially in a city like Mumbai - you will have to face issues. Also, Dzire has a wait period that is typically 6 months atleast - believe me, the 2 months wait period on my Swift was frustating - so, better be prepared.

I am not discouraging you in any sense but only trying to help you in better understanding of your requirements and hence to take a sensible decision thereon - If a Swift hatch is what is suited for you and if you don't need a boot at all - then why even think of a Dzire - for that rear occasion where you need to drop your family at the airport / raiway station / for a rare long drive with considerable luggage, better go for Swift and invest in a detachable overhead luggage rack - detach it for normal day usage and attach it when needed for those rare occasions.

Also, as stated before, better be prepared for long queue for a Dzire - I would say, first think down better on what usage would be like - if it is for point A to point B in city - a Swift / i10 / Santro is good to go - Don't buy big just because it is big - Better understand what you actually need.

K Prasad

Hello Mr. K Prasad,

Thank you for your advice but are you sure it takes 6 months for every delivery in every city?

And what are the other problems in Dzire?

Hey and whats the meaning of BOOT?
