I got a logan 1.4 GLX 3 months back. Was looking for (a) space (b) service (c) VFM. Fully loaded with automatic window/remote locking/stereo etc, it came just above 5lac which was about my budget. I drive mostly within city, but occassionally go on long drives. The fuel economy and driving confort tallied with this driving pattern. The service within city was available and quite good.

However, within 3 months of use, the right mirror broke off. It simply came off broken from its base. From the service team, learnt that its a fault with logan design, and now I feel somewhat disappointed. Tomorrow I have a discussion with Mahindra-Logan official representative in Kolkata regarding covering it within warranty. Lets see how it goes. AG

At present i hav two santros , thinking of changing one of  them . i have shortlisted :

Hyundai Verna petrol , Honda City  , or in deisel Logan , Dzire deisel . my monthly run of this car would be arnd 1000 kms , with a 300 km drive on highway once in a month . Considering the increase in distances and soaring petrol prices which car should i go 4 . i want to go kept it for 4-5 yrs and looking 4  a driving comfort and better control , FUEL ECONOMY  and low maintainence .

CAN ANYBODY SUGGEST ME ON THIS ??

Dzire Diesael would be a great option to consider , the Fuel prices are hiked and Diesel car for your usage  would be most ideal too , and will make sense , and Dzire diesel is the bettter bet when compared with Logan D or the Indigo D and moreover your requirements would be fulfiled by the Dzire , with good milage and low maintenence

Vishnu,

I feel if you are suggesting any one Swift Dzire, please tell him about huge waiting period also. It will definitely help them in finalizing their decision.

Many had changed their decisions due to this unending waiting period. I am also one of them

Guys now you dont need to worry about Dzire delivery just rade in news paper (Yesterdays newpaper) there was an ad by Maurti Dzire that if booker dont get its delivery within 16 days of booking then he will get 12% interest rate on booking amount till he gets delivery letter. They also increased the manufacturing amount they say the demand of it was too high  so this problem occured.Iam from Chennai i think here the problem will get solved dont know about other cities...

Ashish

Hey Good news !

I got the delivery of my SWIFT VDI yesterday in Midnight Black. Thanks to all who helped me in my decision.

I just LOVE the car and i took the family out for a drive and surprisingly there was not difficulty in sitting at the rear seat.... Drive quality is superb.... May be i'm feeling joyfull because i was driving an Indica and i can't even think of comparing it with Indica and now wonder why was i driving an Indica for last 5 years ;)

I was thinking of going for Dzire as well but due to wait time i went for Swift and i think it was a good decision....

Thanks a lot to all fellow bloggers.... You guys are a STAR !
