I guess it was worth the wait. Seems to be a good car.Worlds cheapest car in production. Engine is placed in the rear of the car n has more boot space.

Arun, instead of starting this thread, you could have posted your question in the thread Rs.1 lac Car (Tata).  I suggest, you to do so in future so as to avoid duplication of like-topics.  I trust you understand. Thanks.

I don't think they have yet started sale of Nano, or booking for that matter.I think it will come to Mumbai before it comes to Orissa.

The dealer for Nano will be Tata, of course  - all over India.  It will be launched in the last quarter of this year - booking to start from September 2008.  And yes, it will be first launched in select few cities (metros) & will gradually spread thereafter to other cities.

I have heard that the Nano won't be released in the bigger metros at all.It would be restricted to smaller towns. The government is going to this because of the possibilit of the car swamping the city.

No, I don't think Government can impose any such restriction for Nano or any other car - it is the manufacturer who decides. All cars are normally first launched in metros / select cities, as they have better market in bigger cities (Nano is no exception).
