Posted by Banwari Lal Sharma Well, both LPG and CNG are great as far as combustion is concerned. They burn completely and don't leave anything unburnt inside engine. This leads to lower maintenance and better engine life. There are some rumours around that CNG leads to corrosion in the engine cylinders but I absolutely find no reason for the same.
As far as I'm concerned, I find both of these fuels better than Petrol from maintenance and engine life point of view.
Mayur, decide on the basis of the fact that you need power or economy. LPG is more powerful than CNG while CNG is more economic.
Thanks to all of you who are contributing to this forum. The above information seems conflicting, it says that CNG is low on maintenance and and high on engine's life....but I have read in previous forums that CNG require a bit more maintenance and low on performance. Pls tell me in detail with example along with approx. amount about maintenance of CNG car compared with petrol car (say wagonR).
Would like to know more about the status of any factory fitted CNG car in the market available today. If no, how long will it take, any segment? |
