Traffic Ethics – To Stop or Not?

Bhushan...dat reminds me der were sum plans abt the "punching" system in driving licences...n 5 punches wud lead to d cancellation of d licence....

 

D plan sounded very good on paper....bt was never executed........

i think its high time ..d Licence should hav a "chip" or atleast a magnetic tape...which can b swiped for punishments n stuff......

 

but ya these things mite sound prettyt techy,n fool proof......

bt we r forgetting one thing....

its only a Human who would be needed to Catch u n ask for ur Licence.......... hahaha....i hope u got my point.....i'll explain (just incase u dint get it)....

The Punching system--if Used, wud only increase d Traffic policemen taking more bribes....cuz i m sure Both,the rule-breaker as well as the traffic inspector wud be very happy NOT punching the card !!!!....

In many other countries fuel stations are self-service. So we swipe our credit/debit card for the required amount specified and then we only fill the gas into our cars. There is a lot more honesty. Or maybe that's how people have been brought up. Infact traffic ethics is a course taught to students in their early formative years. I am sure even if we have the same in our country then things would definitely be better. Atleast there would be more adherence.

 

True to our culture we always have respect for elderly folks. I guess that comes more from seeing others do the same and being taught the same.

Fuel station out der r self service.....

here ...we hav cases in which d car has run-away !!!....not even caring abt the petrol pump service guy....who almost lost his life !!!..........dis incident was shown a yr bak ..which happened in New Delhi itself....

So n abt licences....ppl dont get a licence "dat" easily in d other countries....

here,let alone being present on that day..... u dont even need to "EXIST " for owning a drivers licence!

n den try a breaking a traffic Rule out der....

my Cousin who is currently studyin in Australia told me he broke a rule...n he was Called by d police n forced to attend Lectures on "Road Safety"....2 days in dat week....4 hours each !...n he says "he would NEVER break a rula again"!!!.....

its not cuz of the time that he thinks he wasted (or maybe not "only" the time he wasted)...bt also d way dey made him aware abt little thinks which could happen by breaking rules........

ders alot of thought behind these little things guys....i mean for instance.... try thinkin....Y the police forces us to wear a helmet wen riding a 2-wheeler ??...y??....so that we r protected frm a sun-tan ?...

for who's safety is the Police forcing us to wear a Seat Belt ?.... Der safety ??..

"WE" guys need to think abt it !!..........Its for US ......bt maybe we never c it ! 

 

I think traffic should be stop.With the traffic ethics we can safe our life.

Maruti to open 110 new driving schools; 10 research institutes

 

Country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki plans to set up 8-10 new Institutes of Driving Training and Research (IDTR) and 110 Maruti Driving Schools (MDS) across India by 2010, with an aim to train five lakh people within the next three years.

"There is an urgent need for creating awareness about road safety. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, we have planned to set up 8-10 IDTRs and 110 MDSs by 2010 across the country," Maruti Suzuki General Manager R K Parimoo told PTI.

we need more companies to set up such driving schools....i m sure dey'll b better den ne other private driving schools open all over d city..

Last evening i heard 2 bus drivers discussing their talent of driving bus around town.  One driver was upset and started scolding the other.  This was the dialogue "Hare yaar! When u see a vehicle in the opposite direction  u r not supposed to give way by slowing and moving towards the side of the road.  Do like what i do. I go fast and straight and at the last moment I CUT to the left. that way the driver of the vehicle in the opposite side will know what a talented driver i am".

Do you guys think that Driving Schools cud change his mindset? NEVER.  I think its something to do with how u r broughtup by family & shaped by friends.

well....its a mix of it i wud say.......

i mean lets just confess one thing.....wen we guys r at a trafficy-signal-less junction...wat do we guys do out der ?....do we wait for the ppl to cut n clear r way....or do we make r way by following the car ahead us--inch-to-inch so that we cud b d 1st one to push off as soon as the car ahead us gets a chance.......

who has time to wait ??...so d one who changes lanes ,goes hayward....erratic..overtaking.....n makes his way ahead it called a "clever,talented driver...who knows d  "art" of driving !...   wat an irony......  yes ..if a "risk" is succesful... its called "art n skill"... if it leads to an accident,trouble or any form of road rage.....its called "unlucky"...ofcourse NOBODY is wrong !!!...hahaha......  laugh laugh .....lets just laugh at us !!..

I strongly believe that we all know (including drivers) the traffic ethics that are to be followed - it's basically common sense.  But ironically, majority of us behave/drive irresponsibly - defeating our own sense
