save 15k now or save the same(if not a bit more!) at resale when buying in 2009.

Binoy,

Are you saying Binoy that the model difference  will be only about 15 K at resale  .

If you buy in December, you will save say 15K on cost price.  If you buy in January, it may cost you more but fetch say 15K additional on resale. So, it's more or less the same.

In my opinion, car-features of Dec & Jan being same, it would be better to eye on the present saving of 15K than eyeing on 15K in future.

Having decided to go for fabia - still unable to decide whether to go for it in Nov/dec 2008 or take 2009 car in late Jan . There is a discount of 15 k now and jan price uncertain . Can some one savy on all these matters like resale value etc  advise me

I'd suggest you to buy it at the discounted price right away. There are always chances that Skoda may increase prices due to Re-Euro exchange rates (it is a car with very high import content). Either way I don't see Skoda reducing prices in Jan.

I also personally feel that this isn't a car on which one can pin high hopes on resale value. This is a niche segment and there will be few people willing to pay a high price for a second hand Fabia.
