Till now Honda city was having the lowest ground clearance of 160, resulting in screeching noises at speedbreakers with 4 adults. Logan with 155 has beaten it. Can any Logan owner throw some light on this aspect i.e. body touching at speedbreakers due to low clearance ?

I think 155 is too less for it's size. Driving on poor Mumbai roads could be a problem. Also, Hyundai getz has something in similar range around 160 I guess.UVA has 180 or 188. Cheers Azad

On the brochure you get at the dealer, it says 170 mm. i read somewhere else also that it IS actually 170 mm unladen.

all ground clearances indicated on brochures of various cars would be unladen state only as the OEM cannot imagine how many of you and with how much luggage you wud travel. The point which makes difference with similar GC in cars is  the wheel base, the longer the wheel base the effective GC reduces over bumps/speedbrakers etc.Any opinoin from carwale people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the actual laden ground clearence of Logan is just 155 mm , which is not good for indian roads ( potholed roads ) and underfull wieght the belly of Logan might scrape , but for 3 -4 persons on good road is Fine

Cheers,

Sri

The designer would have made necessarily certain assumptions about maximum weight ( persons + luggage ). Since there are no mandatory  guidelines for ground clearance in India, each car company has its own norms !!!  Car manufacturers , in my opinion should come out with minimum clearance norms.
