yes ut in Delhi alone...CNG is alot more than LPg..... so i guess if sum1 living in Delhi he mite think more abt CNG ??....rite ?..

rite karan .........

but if decisions were 2 b taken on th principle of herd mentality relating to localised exceptions only .............

wud there any longer b any craving for knowledge .......... or th need to share views and experiences from ppl across th world and different spectrums of life ......?

.... and .... wud these blogs b reqd at all ...... ??

well..but wat abt the whole transport which runs on CNG ???..... der r countless CNG stations in New Delhi.... moreover....soo many Petrol pumps are also offerin CNG.....whereas LPG stations arw only 4-5 ...out of which i can assure u 1-2 are not working (at different times)...... maybe that needs to b solved 1st....

in mumbai ............

.....cng has been around for more than 13 yrs ,....lpg just 5

.......there r more than 100 cng pumps ........ lpg just 15

.......cng saves 50% more than lpg .... on running costs ....

.......virtually 95% of buses ... taxis n autoriks of over 1 lac vehicles run on cng

..... yet ..................only 1% of private cars on gas run on cng !

....... mumbaiites r strange

......... in mumbai too .... cng is lot more than lpg

.... yet they think more abt lpg !!!

i know y they use LPG many times..... maybe it hasnbt been sed here due to "political" reasons...... the answer is ALOT of ppl use home LPG in the car....... der us a HUGE difference in the prices ..... infact even small LPg workshops offer a nozzel or sumthing for Rs1-3 thousand by which one can easily transfer the LPG into their cars........ !!!!!!! i m sure i BIG percent of ppl think LPg due to this !!!....

once again ..... u assume .... my friend .......

th fact .....

while it is true that many ppl use domestic lpg .... in delhi ..... and elsewhere in th country ........ in mumbai ... less than  1% might b using domestic lpg ......... in fact th tranfer pump u talk abt is not even easily available here ........

yet ....... inspite of cng being lot more than lpg in mumbai .........

mumbaikars think more abt lpg !

ne specific reason behind that Vidhur ??.. in Delhi ,its certainly abt saving money....because DOmestic LPG is way lesser than CNG too.. n i m surprized those little instruments are not present in Mumbai ???..i m sure it must be there...inside houses... or inside the workshops......

1. not only in delhi .. my friend .... everywhere its certainly abt saving money only ... even in mumbai !................... of th thousands of gas driven car owners i must hv come across in th last 15 yrs ... i hv yet to meet 1 ... who claimed ... saving money was not th prime motivating reason for converting to gas

2. yet ... i suppose .... mumbaiites value their convinience and safety too ..... a lot more ... alongside saving money ..... and that possibly might explain .... y inspite of abundant availability of cng ...... not even 1% of private gas car owners ....choose cng over lpg

3. domestic lpg sure costs way less .... lesser than cng too possibly ,,, but only initially .... in th long run ...... th way it screws up th engine and also lowers fuel averages .......it turns out to b more expensive than auto lpg ! ............ n of course there r safety issues .........transerring th gas from th red cylinder to th car using th local pump is a highly risky business ... besides being illegal ...................... i suppose ... mumbaiites .. value these factors a lil more too ...... alongside saving money

4, " i am sure it must b there " ........ once again u r relying  on assumption ..... my friend !

simply put ..........coz money blinds

th lure of money is so high that v tend to turn a blind eye to th grave negatives even when v kno them or read abt them or r told abt them

and th herd mentality helps ..........to justify ... as in ... 'since everybody is doing it .. all cant b fools' ............... and also to reassure oneself ... as in ........ 'since everyone is using it .... it cudnt b so unsafe'

n for similar reasons .... ppl also turn a blind eye to th inherent dangers of using ..... cng ... visavis ..... lpg

n for December

rates in Delhi are at an ALL TIME HIGH......Rs 31.57 per litre....

which is abt Rs 1.50 more than Diesels rate per litre.

Petrol in Delhi is 43.51 ....so that ways the saving for LPG is even lesser in Delhi.......

sorry to say but its turning out to be really bad for LPG car owners.....espieciallly the WagonR Duo......... if LPg is getting more expensive ..n the avg on LPG isnt too much.....den wher exactly is the SAVING ???......ppl shud go n buy a Diesel car instead of the Duo.....
