Predictions of  Maruti SX4 mileage in city conditions is around 15 KMPL. But could someone validate this.

However, I haven't driven the car, nor has the car been tested so far but I can assure you that 15 kmpl in city from this 1.6L 102bhp car is impossible. Keep some figure between 10 and 12 in mind.

I go with Mr.Banwari lal.Anything between 10 to 13 kmpl is possible but 15+ in city conditions not possible

Raghab, From your post I understand that you havent yet driven the car, and you are yet to take the delivery. Can you keep us posted on this thread, on the mileage you are getting in city conditions after a couple of rides. I am getting varied answers on SX4's mileage. I need some first hand information from an owner who owns it

Maruti's are known to be fuel efficient but 1.6 engine to give 15+ in city conditions is quite an achievement.

I dont think it will be a true average, a few people can surely get it.

But if this mileage is really true then this car is going to thrash out the competition.

Guys,

My friend in bangalore got India's first delivery of SX4 and after one weeks of driving in Bangalore City traffic, he got mileage of 11.3 km/l. Please note that engine is in run-in phase and after 400km ride mileage is supposed to increase.

This was trusted source for me, so I booked the car immediately.
