I planned to take Maruthi Wagon R Duo (LPG version) and went to Bimal Auto Agency, White Field Road, Bangalore on March 14 evening. They told me prices are going to rise from next day and asked me to pay an advance of Rs 20000, if in any case, I don’t need the vehicle means, they will refund me the entire amount. So I gave them a cheque of Rs 20000. The very next day, I came to know that I had to go for an onsite project, so immediately in the morning I called them up and cancelled the booking( the papers haven’t even gone for processing), thinking I will take the vehicle once I come back. I asked the sales executive dealing with me, whether should I block the cheque which I have already given them, as it might not have even gone for clearance. The executive told me that, there is no need to block the cheque, as anyway they will refund me the amount if it is cleared, after giving a cancellation letter. Since I was loyal/ sincere, or may be thinking it may create bad image for the sales executive or a company like Maruthi will not cheat, I didn’t cancel my cheque even I have an option to block it online that instant itself without losing a single rupee from my account.
Later when I went to give cancellation letter, they told me that they will give a call once the cheque is ready in another 2 days. Since I didn’t get a call even after 4 days also, I called up them and then they told cheque is ready. But what the cheque they have given me was of Rs 19500. Now they are telling like there is Rs 500 for cancellation, which they never told me before even after asking also. I have to pay Rs 500 for nothing.
Their account section people were also worse, almost like a government company. They treated me very badly.
Like this if anything happens, they will admit it’s their fault and tell sorry, but finally we will lose our money, so be careful.

Its good that you shared your experience with everyone. Same thing happened with me once at a TATA dealership in Jalandhar, but I was not that unlucky. The executive who was dealing with me handed over my own cheque to me after a week as I informed them the next day I booked the car that I won't be able to purchase it for some reason. These things does happen sometimes, so don't worry now, take it as a lesson.

You have done a great job of letting others know about such behavious of dealers, that too from a company of Maruti's repute.

Another issue with Bimal Agency is when u give your car for servicing. Once the servicing is done, an executive calls up to get the feedback about the service and the person who dealt with you.  We should be providing a rating between 1 to 10.

Before u tell them the rating, the executive who had called up, mentions that the rating should not be less than 9. So in short you end up putting 9 or 10, even if you were not satisfied with the billing or any other service..

They force us to put in a rating of 9 or 10. Even if you argue, you are not sure if the correct ratings ever go in.

I have gone through the letters of bad experience with Bimal Auto Agency.

I have dealing with Bimal agency since 4 years.I bought two cars from them and looking for my third car from the.I have  good memories about dealings.I had recomended 4 other friends who bought cars from them.Their pr is very good and the reception we get is excellent. This company has a young CEO Mr Navin who is just a call away. One can always speak to him incase of problem.

I feel this is one of the best professional agency

Maruti has in Bangalore.I felt sorry for those who were not given proper attention and came out to write in the net.
