Sorry to spoil the celebtation but ther are things that they don't tell you about how good are gas fuels for the engine. Gas fuel, lacks the lubricity that exist in gasoline and diesel. The lubricity is crucial for the upper head components -piston crown, cylinder bore rings and valves. the rsult is higher friction , greater wear to engine parts, higher temperature (the spray of liquid fuel mixture with air cool down the combustion chamber). Bottom line-shorter life span of engine, blow-by of combustion gases to oil sump, worse performance. But why should they tell you all this when all they want is to ease up the pressure from importing oil.

Hi.. all...

I have planned to purchase a honda city 1.5 Exi 2003 model and later converting it with LPG kit, after going through this thread couple of days back. But, I pushed into a dilemma when i met the AUTO Consultant who offered me the above Car... saying LPG/CNG Kit won't be a good choice for CITY like MPFI engines as they only good with Carburator Engines...

Actually I got convinced by Mr. Bhanwari's detailed explanation how the both petrol and LPG fuels get burned and there is NO harm for the engine with LPG as they burnt completely with out leaving any harmfull substances in the Engine... But, this time the two techincal words kept in Dilemma.. So, please answer my doubt by explaining the function of both  MPFI and Carburator engines when LPG and Petrol used... and tell me... Shall i go for LPG kit for Old Honda City model or NoTT????
