As far as i have noticed reliance does not have any premium and normal petrol diffrence.
Ite just has petrol and diesel. But the prices are on the higher side, which is similar to the premium fuels from teh other players

Saroj is right. the price is a bit higher but we dont hav to risk our more expensiv engines. As far as i know, reliance themselves are filling up the stations and have strict  quality control which means  no chance for adultration.

dear Friend,
The only loyalty Reliance has got is to its shareholders. They do not seem to give a damn about customers , the govt. and even their own franchisees.
I would not read too much into Reliance's or anybody's claim of offering premium fuel only.
The 'navratna' oil company owned or to be more correct a well managed pump which does good business should be good enough to source the fuel from. IOC a cut above the other too as the other two source some of their fuel from IOC itself.
In any case the original issue is waylaid in this discussion. The point is UNADULTRATED unleaded petrol or ordinary low sulphur diesel is good enough for even the new supercharged engines.
There is no need to put the extra premium or turbo or extramile fuel.
The only thing the 'friction busters' do is lighten your wallet more smoothly for every fill.
Anybody who thinks otherwise or is told otherwise is quite welcome to add to the oil companies proffit margins. With Indian govts. pseudo socialist policies they need all the help they can get.

Another classic examples are tall claims of economy by vehicle manufacturers.
1) Ford Fiesta ( both petrol and diesel )
2) Honda city ( petrol no less )

Fiesta petrol is not at all fuel effecient. In city in AC atleast, the aveo beats it easily as far as economy is concerned. Even the diesel on is not the mosteffecient in the city . Even SKODA with its heavier body does better. Indigo diesel TDI is more effecient than it an so is the CRDI verna.
Alto does not give as much in the city on AC as it claims , nor does the xeta.
The SCORPIO , bolero , safari even with the 4D option are not at all capable of off roading. The clearance is poor and they only look tough.they are not. The amount the scorpio rolls even on a speedbreakers taken at an angle feels singualrly dangerous. Bolero with its macho WW2 jeep lines and no nonsense stance has got the fenders , wheel arches made up of fibre glass..  Scorpio middle row is only slightly better than a public transport bus rearseat. The safari and some innovas spews such black poison in the air , they ought to be taken off the road. Though both are far more accepatble as faras passenger seating comfort is concerned. Another idiotic thingis that some of these so called SUVs have the second AC vents mouinted on floor just behind the gear shifts thus making life more miserable for the already rolling mid row mid guy..
Another strange thing about WAGON R is that though it seems only as wide as a good old 800, its got enough head clearance to fix a carrier below the top. I wonder what is achieved by such a waste of cabin volume when it woudl make a much better vehicle with wider wheels base wider fooprint and 9 -12 " sheared of th head. Its aerodynamics would improve greatly.

Hi Karan,
Sorry that was only a fraction of the post that actually got uploaded. Anyway this was not the topic to write about tall claims of vehicle manufacturers. Maybe we can exchange notes on some other forum in deapth and vent venom....
