Guys Guys. My post might just divert the direction in which you guys are heading. There is something called as knocking or  detonation in petrol and diesel engines. Knocking/detonation can occur due to fuel also. Petrol engines have no knock when practical compression ratio is considered if 100 Octane petrol is used. Similarly for diesel its Cetane Number. So higher the number, better is the engine life. In diesel mostly a fuel with Cetane Number 45 is a high quality one.And mileage is surely better. But I'm enquired with many pump guys and they say both are almost the same. They mix it. So the fault is of our system. I can't provide you with any proof for this. But yes, I have spoken to many of these pump guys who fill in petrol, and I agree with them as the mileage should surely go up. And I have hardly had an increment of 1/2 to 1 km. If you get 2-3 kms increment. Then its bang on. Go for it. 2-3 kms for just 2-3 extra Rs. Its killer

Our Passion Is our Strength.

ya...ders no absolutely no harm in gettin 2/3kms per litre extra for just 2-3 Rs extra....

bt for confirming this..one has to run it alteast 3-4 times(tank fulls) to b very sure !

its like....Mustang says the mileage of the car  may increase by 2 or 3 kms per litre....

n d rate is 2-3 Rs more......so thats how...

bt Mustang....Petrol's rate differences r 4 and above....between 4 n 5.....  so dat ways...the saving is a lil lesses than wat u pointed out...

cheers
