Hi,
I am planning to buy a car, but i am confused which one to choose. I have 3 cars at the moment, Palio Stile GLE, Aveo U-VA (basic) and Santro (top model). I am keen on buying Palio, but after sales support and expensive spare parts is my worry. Also Palio claims 15KMPL, which is yet my doubt. However, I am amazed over look, features, body and space inside palio. Next option, is U-VA, the worry is here that chevorlet offering no discount and promotion, that means, this car is not in long term plan of the company. Sales support outside the metros, and expensive tag, and mileage is few more concern. Lastly, Santro is in plan, advantage is cheap and relatively better mileage. But poor body, lesser space and very common car are the few issue. Please suggest me - with a comparision among all three, which one should i chose. Criterias are - Fuel Consumption, Maintenance & Support, Performance, features & Price Tag. Reltively low criterias are space and look. I am looking for car which will last longer and keep me happy as well. Kindly Guide me.

I suggest you may even consider WagonR. It's a very good car in its segment (same segment as Santro). It's most preferred car than the 3 cars you have referred to. It will give a mileage 14/15 in city & around 18 on highway. Maintainence cost is very low (like all Maruti cars) & service & repairs are easily available anywhere/anytime. Features too are good enough - at par with Santro & so is its cost. It will meet with you preference criteria of maintainence & support, perfomance, features & price tag.
Besides, WagonR being a tall car, it's more spacious (total space) & airy inside. The only weak point is that on high speed / highway at a speed of more than 90 or so, the road grip is not as good as Santro & the like, and is, therefore, like all tall cars, is relatively more prone to high speed accidents.

Amongst the cars which you have short listed no doubt Santro is the best. Now with the new Hyundai car launch (I10) the prices of Santro would be pushed further down.
Ofcourse Santro is a common car. But that also means finding a mechanic would also be less problematic. Especially in smaller places too.
As mentioned by others Wagon-R is also a good buy. Only thing which you may be required woul dbe go for a change of tyres for that extra grip on road at higher speeds.
Tope end version of Santro is a definite buy.

all 3 cars posted by u are good in their own, but i would suggest if u want to buy a car than consider the i10, indica vista & even the newly launched u-va with more features. palio is a good car but 1.1ltr engine is not up to the mark & interiors feel dated.
i10 is new, fresher & with better & latest technology engine. it has one of the best interiors in its class & mileage is also good with good ride. if u can stretch a liitle more than i10 kappa would be the best option to buy as it is much better than the irde i10 & has better power 7 performance without the loss of mileage.
if u dont like the i10 than look out for the u-va. it is spacious & comfortable, gives good milegae. it would not be as fun to drive as the i10 but overall is a decent package considering the space & comfort it offers.
u can even wait for the maruti a-star which will be launched soon but than too i10 would be a better choice.
