Hi Guys,
I am back with my troubled and confused mind. I was about to finalize on Santro CNG, which I am getting for 4,37,089Rs (On Road Delhi) With 3rd year warranty No accessories or anything like that... (which is quite strange at this festive time).
Okay, the trouble started when I visited LOGAN showroom, and they offered me a impressive BIG car GLS 1.4 for 4,89,000 on Road.
I had a budget for 4Lakh, and can stretch to cover for logan, but I am more thoughtful about my daily running cost, as I have to cover some 50Km daily * 22 Days (office) + 30KM * 8 Weekends = TOTAL = ~1400KMs per month + occasional weekend getaways upto 700KMs
So, here is my question: What is the best to buy keeping in mind Mileage and driving comfort. Upto 4/4.5Lakhs. Please feel free to recommend me CNG company or dealer fitted or Dielsel Cars in this range.
Thanks a ton in advance for even reading all this... and a ton more if you have something to suggest... Please help me urgently I need to buy a car ASAP.

As you are open to buying diesel cars, I would suggest, keeping in view your run of 2000 kms per month, you can consider Indica V2 Turbo. It will cost between Rs.4 to 4.5 lac depending upon the version you choose to go for - most popular/preferred is DLS (BS III), which may cost you around 4.25 all inclusive. It will give a mileage of 16/18 in city & 20/22 on highway depending upon the driving condition/style. The mileage would drop by 10% in city with AC on & less than 10% on highways (like in all cars). It's a very sturdy, comfortable & spacious car. It's road grip is fantastic & AC very powerful. This turbo model is virtually as good as a petrol car.
Else, you could consider WagonR DUO - it's a good car with low running cost (better than Santro CNG). Logan (Diesel) is a very good car - better than the 3 referred herein above, but belongs to higher segment. It is more spacious & comfortable (compared to Indica Turbo). It gives a mileage of 15/17 in city & 20/22 on highway.
But all in all, I feel Indica Turbo is the car for you.

You could consider the Hyundai Getz Diesel or the Maruti Swift Vdi. Both are potent cars with good performance and will give you a trouble free time. Performance is satisfying as is the mileage. The comfort factor of the Getz is more than Swift owing to better ride quality and space. But if alternate fuel is what you want to go in for, the either of the cars - Santro CNG or Wagon-R DUO will be just fine. What it boils down to is your requirement from the car.
