Xeta is a good VFM car but not as reliable as the Alto; which is the best selling car in our country presently, though not spacy like the Xeta. It depends on your requirement, if you need a spacious car like Indica, go for it but if you are ok with the Alto, then definately its the better buy. As far as the maintenance is concerned, Xeta's maintenance cost is not very high although it requires more maintenance, spares also not much expensive.

Besides, you also need to take into consideration the mileage of the two cars.  Xeta will give a mileage of 11/12 in city & 15/16 on highway while Alto will give 16/17 in city & 20/21 on highway
