Ford Fiesta - Occasional Starting Problem
I have a Ford Fiesta 1.4 Petrol which is 4.5 months old now. I am facing a wierd issue from the second day of my purchase. There is an occasional starting trouble. Engine cranks but will not start. It will fire up in the second or third attempt. I took it to the service station thrice and all the three time they scanned the engine and told me that there is no fault in the car. There is no particular pattern of this issue to appear. Sometimes this happens once in 2 days, sometimes once a week or once in 3 weeks. Any help in finding the root cause of this is highly appreciated.

well its a very typical problem , well wat u can do is check ur battery  from some other electical shop ,it may b the case that one of ur battery cell may b weak bcs of manufacturing defect and is not able to just provide enough power at the first crank , also check in the airfilter of ur car and get it cleaned , and very important the fuel station frm where u fuel up ur car , try changing the fuel quality in ur car , sometimes due to adulterated fuel also there some chances like this , and next time u take the car to service station ask him 2 check the spark plugs , which plays the major role in ignition of ur car , try doin above all this hopefully ur problem will solve.

The possible causes for this, as our friend said, could be the faulty battery, or the spark plugs.Get those checked.

Even I am facing the same problem Right from the day I got my car out of the showroom.

Now I am facing a new problem the pickup of my car gets low in the noon when its hot outside and A/C is switched ON but this is also occasional sometimes it is low on the pickup and the other moment it becomes OK.

I got my car checked at South City Ford and they have told me that there might be a problem with my Fuel Pump but as they dont have one in stock they have told me wait for some time.

So u can also get ur Fuel Pump checked this might solve ur problem.

And also get ur Self Starter Motor Overhaled by a Ford Workshop.

I am sure this will help solving ur Problem.
