Please suggest as I am planning to buy a new car around 4.50 lac. I have read through this forum about i-10 's front impact bar. As it is not there it can actually cause a lot of damage to the engine. I have looked at the design of Santro and it is there.

Can any body suggest me in that case which car I should take? I am actually very confused with i-10. The looks and design are good but again certain features are missing like engine protection beam. Although this is good for passanger safety (Crumbled Zone) but very bad for the pocket.

Also while testing I noticed that the bedge colored interiors actually reflect a lot of light to the front glass and very bad experience due to this.

I have checked the Indica Vista, however the paint quality and dashboard features are very poor.

I need some serious suggesations in this case to decide which car I can go ahead with.

I'll not be driving it daily. However, monthly usage would be maximum 600-700 kms. Although I would be mostly driving in Highways like going to Blore/GOA/HYDERABAD etc

@Sumit,

i 10 will be my first choice.. Since u r usage is less i10 and vista will hardly make any difference in your pocket..Smile

Since you are also from pune.. u must know this ... Mercedees cars are painted in Telco plant only... So no questions of Paint Quality of TATA.

List down your prioroties which you are looking in your car..

A big insult to you by you is comparing your self with others!

i10 is a safe car - nothing to worry absolutely - have a look at this.

i10 1.2 Kappa is currently the most preferred car in its segment - has very good performance/engine, build-quality & good mileage of 12-14 in city & 16-18 on highway.

Vista is also a very good car (a little sluggish in comparision with i10 kappa) - has the best space/comfort & very good road-grip. It would give mileage of 11-13 in city & 15-17 on highway.  The interiors/features can be considered great for the price those come at. All in all, it's a true VFM (Value for Money) car.

Safety point of view, Vista would score ahead of i10 - mainly on account of its size/shape & weight.

Please have a look at this comparison between the 2 cars (2 versions each) - go through the Specifications, Features & All Features.

Test-drive both the cars with family (space/comfort).

Hi,

I test drove few cars yesterday. I had already tried i10, swift and wagonr. However, I found i10 more appealing than other 2. However, I also test drove Getz 1.1 GVS. I found the interiors very beautiful.

I also test drove Vista Aura Saffire. However, I feel VISTA is not suiting me.

Now I am drill down to either i-10 - Magna or Getz 1.1 GVS.

Please suggest me which one should I go for.

i10 Magna in my opinion.

i10 1.2 Magna would cost only 10K or so more than i10 1.1 Magna.  Have a look at this comparison between the two - go through the Specifications, Features & All Features. Check for prices/discounts locally.

1.2 (Kappa) has better engine/performance without loss of mileage.

Thanks Pankaj!

Do you have any details or first hand input of any one for Getz 1.1 GVS? Actually I am not able to find the actual mileage in Getz 1.1 GVS.

It generally gives mileage of 12/13 in city & 16/17 on highway (depending upon driving conditions & style).
