Decide which cars are 'cool', and which aren't, by placing photographs. The categories are Sub Zero, Cool, Uncool , and Seriously Uncool, a vehicle's placement has nothing to do with how good or bad a car it is.  Cool

Give an exlaination as to why is that car in that paticular segment.

Rules and Tactics

There are some rules to the Cool Wall, although all seem to be flexible:

* Motorcycles are not allowed in.

* Supercars are automatically uncool or seriously uncool, as there are few cool people who can actually afford them. An exception is the Koenigsegg CCX which is cool on account of its scariness(it scares you so you start respecting your life). Two other supercars, the Bugatti Veyron and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren are also classed as cool

* Diesel-powered cars are never cool as, regardless of how good they are, their only purpose is to save money.

* Small European cars, such as the Peugeot 206, are generally cool. Except MINI.

* People carriers are never cool, because they're not cars people want to have; they're cars people need to have.

* Everything with a ? koda badge on it is considered to be seriously uncool; the picture of the ? koda Fabia represents all ? kodas.

* German Cars, particually BMWs and Mercedes, are always uncool.

* Cars can move up and down the Cool Wall depending on new insights and theories as well.

Thanks for the 'Cool wall'-guess Clarkson will have some copyright issues!

-do post your opinion on Indian cars.

Mate thats the whole point......We should also a similar sought of thing.....Right now there is no form where you can actually speak/discuss about the cars which u think are cool or not.

These forms are more like a review website where everyone is telling about first hand exerience...Thats good....But thats not what forms are for....Are they....

Cant agree to the first statement-any and all aspects of the car(even coolness) can be discussed here-there are no rules that refrain anyone from doing so.

The only aspect that i wanted to highlight is that we need not 'copy' from another's creative inputs.

The 'rules' in the first post seems to be a 'copy paste' from the TG websites-we can have our own rules and move along, also kindly post the source for the images and the reference for the text matter provided in your posts-thanks.

I am not saying anyone that you cannot make your own rules.......I just copied the basic platform....Of course there will be many new rules as i can't imagine the european platform being suitable in india......The difference in car we get is massive ( I mean the  options of cars we have is different).....And there are not too many high performance cars here in india...

So the rules will change and will be added...The rules in first post is just the basic platform....

And if you have any issues then i think it's better to delete it...u R the moderator..go ahead....Delete it.....

I cannot get u what u r trying to convey...U r putting all ur questions in grey area.... I think it's better if they are clear as black or white.....

Sorry to intervene...

@Sahil, your idea of this thread is good – I guess everyone appreciates that. But absence of source of information/reference is not appreciated for obvious reasons (copyright issues).

Instead, having our own rules & tactics to discuss Indian cars is a better idea, as suggested by Binoy.

I trust you appreciate the concern.

Let me take the liberty to provide the link to Sahil's post-here is the link.

p.s -being a TG fan and having collected all the seasons on video, i was a bit taken aback by the lack of reference to the intellect that is Clarkson.
