 they make driving bit more complicated and mechanical.

Cant understand this aspect-(infact the whole setup is digital and not mechanical!)

By mechanical i do not refer to pull push rods....I meant that i just takes the fun out of the driving.....

I was saying it makes driving more mechanical....Not that the system is mechanical......System is a mixture of different things.....

Sahil I fail to understand what your trying to say. HUD is helpful for new learners as it becomes easier for them to see the meters while driving. Thats the sole reason why HUD was introduced in cars.




I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just ran out of talent!

Maybe you could share some of what has been published(books that is)!

-do list the mainstream eco-hatches(as these are what people usually learn to/are taught to drive in) that come with HUD's.

-as far as i can gather HUD's were used(mainstream) in Corvettes to enable the 'expert' drivers using these performance car to get data without looking down and looking time and their racing time.

-moreover the lateral G readout's seems to be the most talked about points regarding HUD's on cars-barely the concern of newbie learner driver.
