Language? I still dont feel that my language is not good..... I am just saying that there is a huge difference in class between Fiesta & Ikon. I tried to make u understand that class matters, if you reach somewhere with Fiesta than there is a difference of class. Car is also a Status symbol Pankaj and I feel you dont like my words, if you dont like than its okey this is the last time I am visiting this carwale, this is website is very good and I dont think its really matters whether I am participating here or not?

If you think what you are saying I will accept even when I know you are not right, than you are wrong. In both the cases I was trying to show difference of Segment. If you dont think Segment matters its your point of view only. I differ!

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

And again, what do you mean by saying that you "tried to make me understand" ???  Who do you think you are???   Have I ever stated so for you???

 

And who are you to give me a certificate stating that I'm wrong???  Have I ever said so about you or anyone (diffrence of opinion is a different thing - mind well).

 

I have never ever reacted like this before.  I'm a person who is very particular about usage of words & expressions. You know that for sure - I have been going around in the forums for more than a year - and you know I have VERY STRONGLY opposed improper language - even against YOU?  Do you want me to give reference??

I just went and read all of this and the other thread Out of curiosity .
Rajiv, my friend I think you are not trying to listen to others (Binoy and Pankaj). Rather you were trying to impose things on them. Atleast that is what I could make from your language. Relax and just ponder over it. Also dont jump to conclusions. Take it in the morning with fresh mind. 

Like Binoy said forum comes alive from different views. But for that you have to accept what the other person is trying to say. Otherwise it become like yahoo answers.

Also I felt a difference in the way you related i10 to spark and fiesta to ikon. There was a clear contradiction.

Sorry agar maine jyaada bola and also if I am saying it in the wrong place.

-i guess these discussions have spun out of control in the couple of threads!!

All that i can add is-

-nobody is a 'layman' now-a-days.
-owning a car does not naturally make that the best car in the world.
-bringing personal views into public forums is the essence of a good and vibrant forum.
-challenging another member's personal views and the snubbing the same person shows the forum in bad light.
-i am just a layman regarding car-but this i will state-the Ikon and the Fiesta belongs to the same class of car(infact the fiesta is the replacement for the Ikon-which to begin with was the 2000circa fiesta)-and i welcome a challenge from any car expert anywhere in the world-who can prove that the fiesta belongs to a different segment to that of the ikon.

Rajiv friend i understand that you are very passionate about your cars, but lets not get it into the next level of being obsessive about them. My sincere apologies if i have hurt your sentiments in any way.

I somehow noticed this thread only last night and my first observation is that these arguments are because of the fact that we have failed to implement rules/ guidelines. I have decided to express my feelings openly without bothering how Pankaj & Rajiv would feel.

@Pankaj, I did not expect this from you. Honestly I am surprised to see such a bitter reaction. I always knew you as a coolheaded and moderate person in your views and while conducting the forums as a moderator. I always regarded you highly but you have let me down this time. This is not good for your image and also of CW Forums. Sorry to say but I sincerely feel so.

@Rajiv, I have always observed that you are in a habit of imposing your likes and dislikes on others. Yours posts clearly reflect the obsession you have for your cars and views. You tend to argue instead of discussing and are not open to the views and experiences of others. Many a times your posts contain improper words and expressions, sounding as if you and your views are superior most. You don’t realize that all this has never earned you a good image in the forums. You have spoiled your image further by your personal attacks & allegations on Pankaj.

As far as Spark is concerned, it is a good car but in my opinion i10 is a way superior car by almost all means. Regarding Fiesta & Ikon, I regard these cars highly but let me tell you that even I believe that Fiesta is not a class above Ikon in a sense. It's just matter of perception. Ford should have discontinued Ikon but they disregarded it instead. With the current discount on Fiesta, Ikon is just 35,000 cheaper to Fiesta. I also believe that maintenance cost of Ford cars is higher than other cars marginally (I am not sure if there is any change in the cost in a couple of last weeks). Anyway, as expected, very soon CW Forums will have a tool on comparing ownership cost of all cars.

You are free to leave CW Forums forever but I will be happy if you take lessons from this incident and return as a ‘new Rajiv’.
