Hello friends, hope all of u r fine.

I have a 2006 Indica DLS with T-permit. I want to cancel the T-permit and use it as a private car. Car registered in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Plz let me knw the procedure and admin charges for the same. Also do I need to take my car there?

The car was not in a lot of use for the past 2 years. So I havent bothered paying the road tax for the 2 years. How mch will I be fined for that?

For use of car as a pvt. car, the registration type needs to be converted from commercial to private; Taxi-permit will automatically get cancelled.

It will not attract paying addtional road-tax (if life-time tax paid).  After conversion, the taxi fees/charges payable periodically on monthly/quarterly basis will cease.

The taxi fees/charges not paid for 2 years will have to be paid with penalty - check locally for the amount so due/payable.

It isn't legal.  You may have to pay the differential tax that you have saved in the process along with fine thereon.  The amount of tax & fine thereon may please be ascertained locally (I have no idea).

Sorry, I'm not aware of any consultant or his no. Hope someone else is able to post some info here.  In the meantime, please ascertain/enquire locally.
