Thanks Binoy & Feroz.  My family/daughter is very happy - my wife in particular - probably because she had lost all hopes that I would ever quit.

Well, waiting for our other smoker friends to say something like this....Smile

Yes, Karan I will never have (opportunity) to quit again.

Karan, seems like you need to pester our other friends also now....Laughing (Is Ami listening????? )

Yes. It is high time those on the "other end of fire" (Courtsey : Samuel Johnson's definition of cigarette) follow Pankaj Wink.

@Karan : Have a look at this post and this one.

Actually after the match we always have Nasta/party hosted alternatively by us (teams). This icecream party will be in addition to that.

Ami & others I don't think are as such serious smokers yet.  It should be much easier for them to quit - now.  Arun I think is a regular smoker like I was, and has been smoking for years.

Hey , i somehow missed Rishita's and Feroze's post.

Sure Rishita, Ami better listen, or else we will tell his mom ! Lol!

No seriously guys, stop hiding now. And come forward and accept you smoke and that you want to get rid of it. We are here to help you. Not to make fun of you or anything.

Pankaj openly admitted it that it has NEVER helped him in ANYWAY whatsoever. Look into yourself, and see, has this habit ever helped you ?

@Feroze-Well Well, that picture can get Pankaj booked, under some section--Smoking in Public (without any public present ) hehe.

No jokes... My promises to others failed but the promise to myself succeeded.

Haha, Yes Krishna We will do it ! Its Time to attack Ami's "Ciggy" addiction now !

@ Pankaj- Well that's acceptable as long as the end result was what we wanted. And the Promise to yourself in all probability was also made due to constant pestering by everyone, so much that unknowingly that is what you felt was written on their faces. ( i have seen my aunt arguing with my uncle and complaining about his habit almost every minute  in so many years. it took her a decade to succeed. ).

But this thread---Let me check--AHA ! surprise its this "thread's" 1st birthday !! it was opened on 7th October 08 ! May this thread have a long life

So i was saying it took her a decade to succeed. We are 10 times faster than her.

1 down already, we'll get you smokers All-Out !hehe.

My wife/family never did 'nagging' but always wanted me to quit.  And they did help me quit – and so did this thread/friends here.  I’m thankful to ALL.

I had promised to quit but failed in my attempts earlier, as I seldom tried with full honesty (read post 165).  My message in my post above (my promises to others failed but the promise to myself succeeded) is that we would not succeed unless we are honest to our own self first.
