Ford Ikon is back with a new look & with a more refined 1.4 Liter diesel option. It looks fresh & more European which can make it more competitive in the diesel segment. We need to wait for its move w.r.t the pricing to take on Dzire & Logan in particular.

The Ikon is not Ford's 'flagship' model. With  the discontinuation of the Mondeo the Explorer bears that crown.Interesting to see how this plays out regarding Ford maintenance and also the effect on Fiesta sales.

Good to know that New Ford Ikon is coming.... even I still drive Ikon Flair 1.3 very often as my Partner bought it in Nov. 07. One thing is good about Ikon Flair.... though engine is a bit old n technically Swifts engine is better with little more power ... I still feel that Driving Ikon is Fun. Mujhe to pedal dabane par swift say better he lagti hai Ikon ...other part... Its very Strong... safety wise its good too. Mileage in Worse City Driving Conditions ... 10.5 to 11kmpl.

Still in its price DATED IKON IS GOOD! Its like Rekha ... lol ... Old is gold!

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

I too feel the Ikon is still Indias best drivers car, even better than the fiesta 'new' with the holden tuned suspension!

Ford is trying hard to make its presence in Indian Market. But I think they need some more aggressive plan and pricing to capture the market.
They need to bring few more Model in this market. New fiesta looks very sporty in this Class.
Fusion is another very good car For Indian Market but Ford is Killing this by overpricing the car.

Hey!! Thanks for the Info, Here what I meant was Ikon was one the most popular brand which got Ford an Identity in Indian market. So thats the reason I mentioned flagship. Other wise what you said is absolutely rite.

True, They need to have a proper product line-up to have a good presence in India. Another factor which is hampering Ford is its service & its network. Hope they work on it.

I think now a days they have increased their presence in many places. Ford is giving road side assistance too. They are offering new Dealership also.
Hope they stick to their priceing properly. I have read many forum that the people is not buying Fusion becos of the over price though many people like it.

Ford needs to localize the cars they sell, that will bring down the prices. With the massive looses in US for Ford they are now concentrating om India/China as we do have growth potential in terms of numbers.
Fusion is a great buy but is in 'no-mans-land' as pepole cant categorise it..is it a hatch/SUV/MUV ?
