I went to book a i10 1.1 magna but was hooked on the 1.2 kappa Sportz model. But the dealer is pusing me to buy 1.1 magna and also is willing to give discount of 30k which brings down the on road price to 4.22k where as the 1.2 sportz would cost be 4.86 on road. He is not willing to extend any discount on Sportz.
This is 64k more. assuming I spend 20k for the mp3, speakers and spoiler, which are in Sportz but not in Magna, I am paying 44k more for the Kappa 1.2 compared to Ephilson 1.1. This is the case with all the dealers. I dont know why (is Hyundai listening??. The dealer is also telling me that the additional 0.1L is having no effect in the performance. (I could not believe this). He is not having vehicle for test drive. I am feeling that Hyundai is phasing our magna 1.1 and wants to get rid of the the stock.
Is this additional cost of 44k worth for the kappa 1.2 DOHC engine? can any one advise me?
Thanks in advance

yes man 1.2ltr kappa is much better than older 1.1ltr. kappa is based on new & better technology, its much more refined, powerful & efficient too. ur dealer must be saying this because he would like to clear his stock for 1.1 as there would be no buyers for it. dont come in his words & just go with the 1.2 sports.

1.1 is likely to be phased-out. In any case, 1.2 (Kappa)'s launch has affected 1.1's market - and therefore the discount.

Like others have pointed out, Kappa is definitely a better choice because it has better technology, more power/torque - and all this without compromising on mileage (if it isn't better).

Oh, that's great - and once you do that, please post your experience here for the benefit of all. Thanks.
