Cheapest Suv?

Since the SUV is a rather expensive segment I was wondering which is the cheapest SUV?The one SUV that even the common man can think of affording

the cheapest decent suv would be the bolero (people please correct me if i am wrong). but you can get better sedans at that price. the quality of dashboard is felt below standard by many people. also it does not have a good ride quality and tends to vibrate a lot.

SUV means 4 X 4 , and the Cheapest in india is the Safari 2.2

well sri i differ with ur opinion on this.if u see the classification of bolero in carewale it is clearily classified as an SUV. moreover all models of safari are not 4 X 4.u have a selected models that are 4 X 4. Even scorpio is classified as a SUV inspite of all models not being a 4 X 4. basically SUVs are high performance cars built on rugged chassis as compared to other cars. so any car in the shape of a jeep with high ground clearance and raw power can be classified as an suv

well i forgot to add........SUVs have superior off road handling capabilities as compared to other cars.......

I think the sumo grande will rule the caategory.

Cheapest SUV is bolero.....u can get it for 6 lakhs....

The cheapest SUV is Mahindra Bolerao DI (7-seater).  It costs Rs.4.74  lac (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It has 2523 CC engine & gives an overall mileage in the range of 10-12 kms.

Lexus is a luxury brand car that is yet to enter the Indian market. No idea about price - very  expensive, of course.
