Some confusion you have.  Go through the thread again.  90K is the likely resale value of the car.  33K is the estimated cost of repairs.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

regarding the power windows getting stuck, ask your mechanic to do 'rellaying'. it helps a lot. increases the power of the motors and they work!!!

Hi Mayank, you said you bought a 1998 Esteem VX for 1.25Lac and it has done 75,000 kms,which i feel is too early for an engine overhaul,unless odo was tampered on this car showing fewer kilometres than its actually done.But these engines can go upto 3 lac kms till an overhaul. You have clearly not mentioned whether you find some obvious symptoms,by which you conclude that it needs an overhaul. Did you notice white smoke from silencer in the morning when engine is cold or you feel loss of engine power? Please elaborate the problem so that we can infer.
