HI All,

I have been silently reading the reviews in carwale from last 1 yr and i am very much impressed with the members suggestions. very much value added.

I am looking for a sedan petrol car. My budget is 6L. My requirements

1. I like sedan cars only.

2. My drive per month would be around 500-800km max.(mostly city drive, thrice in a yr for long drive)

3. Mileage is not a problem.

4. Good exterior and interriors, better performance, stylish looks. Low maintanence.

I know my requirements are bit high with low budget. I have no knowledge on cars.

From carwale reviews i knew that Accent executive is the best. And i am also leaning towards it as it suits all my requirments except the one(out dated version). Reg this i spoke with hyundai guys and as of now they dont have any plans to phase out. Also if phased out, as per govt laws for any phased out car, spares should be available for next 10yrs.

Awaiting for all your valuable suggestions.

If you can stretch your budget slightly the base fiesta petrol may also be available after discounts. They usually have offers going on , ask the dealer if anything's available now.

DZire or Manza would be the best choice in your budget. Both cars are good, selling hot, decent power. But none of them have that pleasing exterior though Manza looks quite decent for that segment. I doubt if Fiesta petrol base comes within that price in Bangalore. If it does, then that is the best bet. I still doubt if you can get Fiesta within 6 in Bangalore.

In your budget you can even go for a diesel sedan Ikon TDCi, VFM & with great Fiesta engine.

In petrol, checkout newly launched Manza but I will pick an Aveo in your budget. Great looks (front & rear..too good) & great interiors. I guess with available discounts you can get an Aveo in your budget. Its better looking car than D'zire and with far better interiors than the D'zire & others of its segment.

Test Drive !

I would suggest ford fiesta as your first choice, great looking car which is believed to be drivers car. 2nd choice would be a maruti suzuki Dzire now followed very very closely by Manza.

For 6 Lakh, go for Tata Manza, One its contemporary looks, two for equipment level, three for space inside, four for very good 1.4 fire engine ( Read Linea thread in Autocarindia forum for its fuel average and peppy nature ), this engine is same as in linea.

If you can stretch your budget then go for Linea, Its best car for money we pay for.

Please have a look at this comparison as well as this. Looks like Swift Dzire ZXi is your best choice, closely followed by Manza Aura (+) suffire. The Ford is a  mean machine for driving pleasure, but not VFM, as it is not loaded with as many features as Dzire ZXi or Manza Aura (+) Suffire. Manza matches all of the DZire features, except say small details like Power steering being hydraulic rather than electronic, Ground clearance being less by 5 mm etc.

Indigo is dated and does not hold a candle to these new puppies.

If GM had smelt the coffee, it would have priced Aveo as aggressively as Optra currently. They are still not sensing the wind, so don't go for the Aveo which lacks several features for a higher price.

Let us knoe what you think, and, BTW, Welcome to CW forums!Hope you like it here!

PS: BLS, is the recommend me a car feature operating on an outdated snapshot of the database? It never indicated Manza wvev when was so very relevant to this query.

All,

I thank you all for your valuable suggestions. I have the following cars in mind

1. Tata Manza - with 25k extra than my budget i get good features(CD player, ABS etc). Did any one gave a test drive?

2. Accent - Its a good car, but thinking only becoz its bit outdated model

3. Swift Dzire - Somehow i dont like the shape of this car

4. Linea - I like it very much but i get the basic model for a price of 7.2L(on road). No discounts for this car except the corporate discount(15k)

5. Aveo - I like this model too but again it crosses 7L for basic model(also thinking becoz it is GM, parts may be costly and hight maintenance compared to others). Not sure if any great discount is available right now in city.

6. Ford Fiesta - Myself and my wife both liked the car(but again comes in second place, first one is linea). Even this car crosses 7L with basic features. Again i think ford service is not much better compared to others.

I also want to say i am a beginner(yet to learn car driving). The one i buy will be my first car and first one to drive. which ever one i buy i want to keep for a long time.

Thank you all once again.

You can surely think about Aveo LS which is in your budget. It is proper sedan & match all your requirements. No doubt Dezire & Manza are good but they both lack class when we compare it with Aveo or Fiesta.

ASS of GM is really good . Aveo comes with 1 lac kms engine warranty & 3 years service plan of Rs 12500/-.

You can TD all cars in consideration with family & decide.

I bought Aveo LS just two months ago & done 3500 Kms till now. Everything is perfect till now. I am getting FE of around 12-14 with ac on.

Aveo is worth to consider .

I think Aveo  / Linea will be nice.. and suggest to learn in a drving school and then start using ur own car. Remember Linea is a bit difficult for beginners ( my opinion ) as its not easy to whats below ur feet and during reverse.
