Hi Friedns,

Recently my cousin brought Indigo CD LX TDI. Till now covered 1400kms with first service.

While driving by me & cousin, I felt that driving a indica (non turbo). I mean no turbo kick even after 2k rpm. I have observed this in city driving. in 3rd gear also crossing 2.2k rmp doesn't feel any kick, still feels sluggish.

Ranjit, If your facing sluggishness when your engine is hot (i.e. peak sun hours) this is common with turbo engines. Try checking the speed and pickup at night or early morning.

I do not have technical background but I understand...

Adam, sluggishness when engine is hot is not common to turbo engine in particular. It is so felt particularly in weak/old engines (any).

Ranjit, the possible reason could be (1) the turbo-charger may not be able to boost intake energy/air (excess/unburnt fuel - white smoke - emitted out); OR (2) there could be leakage/weak compression (oil consumed by engine - black smoke emitted); OR (3) Fuel injection pump could be mal-functioning (required amount of fuel not injected - quantity & timing - for the turbo).

Get the car thoroughly checked.  Your car being new / under warranty, the company has to set right the problem (whatever) FREE of cost.

Thanks to all.

@Greenhorn: Since just done the first service, so not tried running above 70/80kmph. But now I'll try on H/W to get max speed.

@Adam: Somewhat I am aware of this point for turbo engines. But I have observed this issue mostly at evening time.

@Pankaj: As mentioned, I think I'll try once again on h/w to confirm the turbo effect. Actually I haven't tested turbo after first service. So I'll check this in couple of days.

Will update again...
