I own Indica V2 Lxi March 2002 model, which I purchased from Han Motors, Andheri, Mumbai. As the expenses on my Indica were going up day-by-day (bcoz of poor mileage, high maintenance cost), I started looking for well-built car, Which has more Resale Value & Which can easily be driven at 120+ on Highways. On the basis of feedback of car owners on various forums, I short-listed WagonR Vxi & Indica Vista Quadrajet Aura. I understand that there is vast technical difference between these two cars. But still I was confused amongst two.

I took test drive of WagonR & found verypoorly built car, not like my Indica V2. Then I took Test Drive of Vista at Wasan Motors Borivali, Fortune Cars, Powai. Car's pick up was excellent. It's a fully loaded car. I did not liked its horn & AC was not upto the mark. Fortune Motors, Powai offered me Mats, Mud Flaps, Sunfilming as Freebies. On the very next day, I approached Wasan Motors, Borivali (East). The Sales executive gave me two options: (a) Mud Flaps, Mats, Sun Film, Anti-rust & Teflon (b) Mud Flaps, Mats, Sun Film and Autocop TKE 4180 for Rs.1000/-. I Wasan Motors, Chembur was closer to my place, I decided to approached the same. They decided to give me Autocop free alongwith Mud Flaps, Mats, Garware Sun Film. So I agreed for this offer and Today I booked my Indica Vista Quadrajet Aura of Marine Silver Colour. As they do not have this colour in Stockyard, Bhiwandi/ Kalyan, my car will arrive from Pune on 22nd October & will be delievered to me by 26th October.

Congrats! Vista quadrajet is a really good choice!

Now, for the D-Day (26 Oct), please take along a printout of the excellent PDI checklist thread by Bhardwaj (or use similar stuff) and do a thorough PDI inspection yourself. Ask the dealer not to Send vehicle for registration or make an invoice without you okaying the car.

Let us know the PDI and delivery experience, and share photos when you get the vehicle.

All the best, and happy Diwali!

Update:

As I wanted September/ October, 2009 piece, the order got delayed. Finally I was allotted September piece by Tata Motors. Yesterday (29.10.2009), I visited Wasan Motor's Kayan Stockyard to inspect the car. I was surprised to see new music system, which is currently being provided in Vista 1st Anniversary edition. Yes. I found very few minor manufacturing faults, which dealer has agreed to take care of while delivering vehicle. Overall I am happy with the customer service provided by Wasan Motors, Chembur, Mumbai till the date. Now I am planning to take delivery in late next week as registration is pending due to long weekend.

Edited to removed quote(same not needed)-MODS

By Manufacturing faults, I mean a black rubber, which is on top of the car is not in shape. It has come out. I have snap of the same. But I don't know how to upload it. Dealer told me that this is one the manufacturing fault in all Tata cars. Secondly, there is minor scratch on right-side front door. The car was driven 25.2 kms.

At Stockyard, I noticed that they do PDI as soon as car is off-loaded. So there is no chance to get it done in our presence. I also noticed a different version in case of PDI. Dealer told me that PDI is done at Workshop & on the other hand, Stockyard people told me that it is done once & that is at Stockyard. The present situation is that car has arrived at dealer after octroi payment & I don't think now the car will go anywhere till delivery. So I could not personally see wheter PDI was done properly.

hi guys,

I have booked Vista Aura Quadrajet 1.3 from Wasan Motors, Borivali and about to take delivery today or latest by tomorrow. I've read reviews of customers getting wrong size spare tyre etc.

I want to know what all are the things I should look specially before taking the delivery at the showroom. Also tell me, if Wasan motors kandivali serice workshop is trustworthy and good enough? Any feedback on the service centers in mumbai?

Plz reply
