i dont agree kunjal..back seats are really very comfortable. and the car is longer than i10 therefore it gives space for leg room..and i dont know whats the issue with 3 cylinder. the power of the new engine is way good. and much more fuel efficient. estilo vxi is available at 4.1 lk in haryana.

Hi. Since this will be your first car, it is important to select the right car. First of all congrats on deciding to buy a car. Well the Estilo has'nt changed a lot! Of course it now has the k-series engine of the A-star but only to dissapoint. The car is nowhere close to the A-star when performance is concerned! Wagon-R is some what old. its been in the market for quiet sometime now. The wagon-R is not as good as the other two. I personally would suggest you to go for the New Santro which recently had a cosmetic upgrade. But still its the best when you compare it to the Estilo or the Wagon-R! All the best................

Kishore did you get a chance to do test drive of new Estilo. If yes then what exactly as per you is the differrence between A star & Estilo? Or are you going with old image of Estilo?

Hi All,

I am planning to buy a new car (My first car). Can somebody please advise me how is new estilo. I know that older estilo did not have good reputation & want to know more about this new estilo with new K series engine & 3 cylinders. I am not a very technical guy but some people are saying that 3 cylinder cars are not worth buying. They dont get pick up if 5 people sit in the car & AC is on.

I have been suggested by most people to go for Marutis car & so we went for test drive. I dont know driving so my freind did the favor for me. He was impressed with the pick up & new gear box of new estilo but 2 things that he has asked me to confirm are 1) how are 3 cylinders going to effect the car & 2) existing reputation of older estilo is really bad. We went for test drive of Wagon R also but I personally did not like it while sitting in the back. It felt like a bumpy drive. I know though Wagon R sells like hot cake but since I it is my first car I am not sure which one to buy?

Can anyone suggest me if new estilo is worth buying & about 3 cylinders?

thanks

dont worry u can go for the new zen estillo , dont worry about the no of cylinders (unless u have lots of hig range drive and some offroading) since the new kseries engine is lighter and perfectly tuned that it delivers good torque and same time good mileage (18+kmpl). well considering wagon r themain prob is the cramped rear seats (only for 2) and horrible gear shfts.santro is one of my all time favorite nut considering its age old design i would suggest u stick to zen.

Yes i have test driven the new Estilo. The major difference between the A-star and the estilo is as follows- a-star absolute fun to drive k-series engine was introduced on the a-star. estilo on the other hand has a different suspension setup, the same old uninspiring interiors and  does'nt feel as good as the a-star. If u r still not convinced you can always consider any of the expert views posted in many websites such as zigwheels.com.

@ kishore,

a-star is a good car considering that space & comfort is not ur criteria & most of the time only 2 people are going to travel & dont need the boot space.

if u have a family of 4-5 & need a car which can make them sit inside it & want a little better boot space than a-star is not for them.

@ gaurav,

so if u need more space & comfort than the estilo is for u & the new estilo is quite fine & a good car to own.

@ Roadster: well said! Estilo is definitely better than the A-star in comfort, for a family of 4-5, Estilo is better.

How is New Estilo for highway run? Anyone has experienced that? About previous model heard that it's unsafe for H/W usage, have vibrations on high speed.

It takes less time to do things right than to explain why you did it wrong.

@ ranjit,

the new one is better as there have been changes done to its suspension setup & the new one has more firmer ride now.

I have test driven the Estilo with four people in it and the AC on. The car surely has a Zip, runs better no issues. The ride is smooth and the gearing is as good as any. If you compare it with I10 it would be the same thing like any other poster said (comparing a car with bad history to the 2nd most popular car). I would say if the space is Ok for you, go for it.
