Mumbai/Thane - Chevy Spark for Rs 123,000

Buy the car on a 5 year EMI. Car belongs to you HP to the financing bank.

A mumbai based advertising company offers to pay you 6000 a month for using space on 4 doors and boot for advertisements. 

This covers you EMI of about 6k and you end up owning the vehicle in RS 123,000

I dont know how authentic this whole deal is - was wondering if any one else heard of this or has ventured into something like this in Mumbai.

Looks like a decent deal. Read through the entire stuff posted by you. It makes sense for both advertiser and the person buying the car. Only thing I am not sure is why only Spark? If it's about small cars, it could be an Alto or Indica or Santro. Why Spark alone?

Deal is having some hidden thing, which needs clarification.

1) Why the discount being offered by GM Rs 47000/- is not being passed to customer?

2) Why the offer is only for base model not on PS,LS,LT etc?

3) Loan will be arranged at the rate of 11% (it has been assumed), I do not think ICICI is giving loan at this rate.

Good to see the idea catching up back home.  Here in Dubai you can rent a car for Dhs.1 per day (Rs.130) and its covered with advertising.  See this link:

The concept is okay and innovative for sure. But why just Spark? If the advertising company is earning through ads, the ad can be displayed on any car for that matter. One side to it could be the fact that they have got some tie-up with GM as well!

The Deal is only for base model as we are facilators making it possible for an individual to afford a Brand New CAR, its a Dream for people who do not OWN 1.

The loan calculations are provided on the higher side, it depends upon the individuals to get the loan, there is no complusion of getting the loan thru us, one can do it on its own. The loan is not provided by ICICI, its the Franking for the agreement which will be done by ICICI or AXIS Bank.

Will there be regulations on the type of content being advertised. No one would like to drive around in a car that has ads (on 5 doors) - indecent - that make people/family feel uncomfortable.

How frequently will the ads be changed and will the changing of ads damage the paint.

Do you plan to introduce Aveo and other Chevy models which are backed by the 3 years maintenance warranty.

Thanks for your reply. Please note that the regulations are not mentioned in the agreement. As per LAW, Vulgar, Offesive & liquor/tobbaco adds are not allowed. Pertaining to the indecent adds, the adds will be designed by professionals & will talk only about The Brand & product, we will avoid posters of celebs or models, etc. certainly it will not have indecent ads, as stated by you. Our motto is to provide a new platform to the Advertisers, save on Elctricity used for hoardings & make it affordale for people to buy & use the Car. hence, if the Car owner isnt comfortable with the advertisments, the cars will not move much on road, likewise the advertiser will not benefit, hence we will not be able to sustain for a long period, neither will be able to grow, so out interest is to take care of every assocaites.  win-win-win situtaion. regards
