NOC for used car

hi

i bought a used car in hyderabad.

i have all documents except NOC.

can i get NOC or is it the previous owner who needs to apply for it?

what documents needed for applying NOC in hyderabad

Are you shifting the car from AP to another  state?  If "yes", you have to get the NOC, as you are now the owner of the car.  Apply to the RTO in a plain paper explaining the circumstances of shifting the car to another state, mention your local address,if any, and your mobile no. Enclose copy of RC. Submit and get an acknowledgement from the RTO office. They will  intimate you to come for NOC within a day or two.

I believe NOC is not required if the RTO of registration of the car is not changing. I mean, if you bought the car Hyderabad and you are registering in Hyderabad itself (believeing there is only RTO in Hyderabad), NOC won't be required.

noc is not required. But you need to transfer the ownership from the previous owner to your name and address. you need to submit few forms in rto office to transfer the ownership and also updating name and address in the rc book. also get the insurance transferred in your name.

No. Only his sign on transfer documents. You will need your residence proof instead.
