Thanx for your valuable feedbacks. What i have surveyed is that people have asked me to continue with Zen being a pertrol car, which has made me more confued.

If i have to combine all your feedbacks than i should stay with Indica, Is that so???

Would like to ask from Krishna that who is Pankaj Prasad??

Thanx Ami. How much it is true what our friend MBA from Chennai is saying, that Indica DLS will start giving troubles in long run (around 1 year).

By the way which you are owing?

I have a Swift Vxi which is almost one year old.

I have seen lot of indicas in both good and bad conditions. It all depends on how well you maintain the car and a lil on your luck.

If you were in my position which one you would have opted for?

You know if my Zen and Indica will be compared from outside view Zen looks new.

Pankaj Prasad can you throw some light on your experience with Indica. As you are using this vehicle.

13k an year, will make indica the front runner.

My brain says indica while heart is with zen.

Suggestion put by greenhorn is also quite good. That will decide the winner.

I would advocate for Indica Turbo - NOT because I own it - but because it scores ahead of Zen on the following parameters…

  • Space & comfort.
  • Road-grip & stability.
  • Build-quality & safety.
  • Fuel efficiency & economy.
  • Driveability & roll-on acceleration.
  • Features – Comfort, Exterior, Interior.

You could also consider Indica Turbo for the following considerations:

  • It’s newer & less used - Nov 2006 model with 35K run against Zen that is 2004 model with 57K run.
  • Indica Turbo would fetch better resale value.  You should, according to me, retain the one that has more worth attached to it.
  • Diesel engines are stronger, sturdier & have better longevity.
  • Higher maintenance of Diesel (Indica Turbo) should not bother you, as it would amount to only 10-15% more than Petrol (Zen).  The amount so actually involved (the excess) can be considered negligible - spread over a period of ownership.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

in fact, if you had a diesel zen, it would be a lot less maintainable by now - TUD5 engine spares are hard to get hold of , i seems
