Yes Shashikiran, I have also searched a lot on net about teflon coat, polish and waxing. What I have found from different sites is that the teflon coating is just bogus, teflon can not be coated at normal temperature, and the temperature required to set teflon on body should burn all the fittings inside the car. Practically teflon hould be fixed at company after painting the body, but that too is not possible as the paint itself will get burnt, then what to protect.I am talking about teflon, the materials we chemist know.
Car polish is a good thing, but this is not required on a new car. A simple test, wash the car, dry it with micr-towel, touch the paint very carefully, if you feel some un-eveness or the paint is not silky smooth, no need to apply polish, but if the silky smoothness has gone or some rough/uneven like feeling is felt on palm, apply polish, and should use micr-towel.
Normally waxing is must. After washing and wiping dry, wax should be applied and this should be done at shade away from direct sunlight. put some wax on micr-cloth and rub gently so that a very thin layer remains on the body. Normally people suggest 2to3 coating per year, I would like to do this every 3 months, and during the dry dusty season, it should be at 2 months and must after each wash. Simple waxing can protect the paint for long time.
