Hi Guys,

Let me introduce myself, I am tech head @ CarWale. So here goes the answer to your queries:

@Arun : We got your problem and I am putting it in my list of next upgrades to Forum.

@Amit : Yes we have to use something like AJAX to give a seamless experience to the users.

@Jeyaprakash : Since everything will be done by AJAX it won't be a big issue.

This site uses aspx pages for add / edit / list pages... and for each & every thread, there will a HTML page being created... and that HTML page gets appended whenever someone replies... So ultimately the page you see for any thread is an HTML page...

On a HTML page it will be difficult to implement any kind of dynamisim... At the max we can add a header for autorefresh on regular intervals...

It's a bit different than what you think. The forum pages with html extension are not html pages in reality. They essentially are aspx pages but the URL is rewritten to be displayed as an html page. The concept is called URL Rewriting. So, as Rajeev suggested, it's not a difficult task to show the newly added posts using AJAX.
