Dude get your facts right Ford Fiesta diesel and Fiat Linea have a good resale value and There A.S.S is not as bad as u think.You will be in for a surprise when u visit the service centre of fiat and ford.And u will find it better than maruti whose A.S.S has been going down lately.Before u comment on the above vist the A.S.S af fiat and Ford.

Being a Ford Fiesta Diesel owner and Upcomming owner to Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 MJD Emotion u will be Bedazzeled by there A.S.S.Try visiting your best Fiat and Ford showroom.

Primary - the discussion in this thread by the prospective buyer has been on Fiesta 1.6 petrol & not Fiesta Diesel.Reference my intial posts,I have already mentioned that Fiesta diesel is definately worth comparing in diesel category.

A.S.S is probably a very subjective experience & I have opined the general summary of  A.S.S for all these car manufacturers.Yes-They must have pulled up their socks in A.S.S but are still miles away in challenging the likes of Hyundai & Maruti .My humble challenge- Run an all India poll if you wish ,Ford & Fiat will get beaten handsdown on A.S.S scores by Maruti in this segment . (You could use survey monkey for the poll)

A close second to Maruti would be Hyundai.

Of course - Respect your opinion on the Ford Fiesta Diesel totally.It indeed handles well & is one of the better cars from Ford lately,but again lets not get carried away in these posts.

Thanks guys for your valued inputs.  I definitely would like to go for a petrol version as i would be averaging approx 600 - 700 kms per month.  Hyundai Verna was the other car which I thought of but decided against it as the cost and other features are very much close to SX4 and I like Maruti compared to Hyundai.

Thanks guys for all your valuable input.  I have booked a Ford Fiesta 1.6 LE.  Will get the delivery this saturday.  Have booked the car through Bhavna Ford, Nerul.  They gave the best deal and the customer service was excellent.

To be honest, will not be able to provide the exact details but for sure that was the best deal you can ever get in Mumbai.  I checked at others dealers ie SC Ford and Wasan.  SC Ford was the worst and the customer service was pathetic at SC Ford.
