PITZ STOP -> New Accessories Shop in Chennai (T.Nagar)

Hi Guys,

I got a pamphlet today with regard to a new car accessories shop that was inaugurated just today. These guys are new but seem to be extremely professional. They had atleast 2 to 3 ICE'ed car on demo. Products that they show-case include:

JBL, Infinity, K&N,Pioneer,G-sports,3M,Autocops XS, Mutant

They have an inaugural 15% flat off on all accessories that you buy. It is valid till 31st Aug.

I talked to the owner about getting my car Re-ICE'ed (they call it the ICE bug). I already have a pioneer (very old model). He quoted the below price for the HUs

PIONEER 2190 - Rs. 6750

PIONEER 2150 - Rs. 5750

PIONEER 5150 - Rs. 7500

All come with 2 years of national warranty. And he had a JBL Amp, GT5-S422 which he quoted for 3.9K with B&W.

Please let me know if the price is good. I plan to go in for 2150 as my basic requirement is a good system with USB as i hate to burn CDs!!

only the 2190 has a warranty from the manufacturer. the X150 HU's warranty is just a gentleman's warranty

the prices seem just ok. I'd suggest you ask for a few more quotes elsewhere before buying !

hye greenhorn, yeap he told me that.. x150 model is his own warranty.. greenhorn can u enquire how much these HUs costs in your city? or from shops you know.. here in chennai, the rates are more or less +/- 50/100 bucks.

How abt out a bluetooth HU!, i am looking for one which has BT and USB.. kinda not the high-end stuff.. i dont want to spend much (its the ICE bug).

prices are similar in trivandrum, but i thought stuff should be cheaper in chennai.

I've read about people getting the 2150 for <5.5k elswhere

bluetooth is kind of expensive. A cheaper alternative is available if you can dismantle and solder stuff

haha,, then i would probably enquire outside.. (other places). 2150 less than 5.5k is a safe bet! he said would take back my pioneer (some old stuff) for 1.5/2k depending on the condition. Ok lemme update you guys!

Why BT car music players are expensive? Even cheapest mobile handsets come with BT. Something I fail to understand.
