Have a look at Drive-by-wire technology.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

Good piece of info,do you know (or any one knows) which cars in india come with this technology,i know this has been disscussed before but its  confusing(yet not clear)  any links or info?

It is what we think we know already that often prevents us from learning.

Drive-by-wire system is used to elimnate the mechanical system which consists of an accelarator cable and replaces the same with a throttle position sensor which sends info to the ecm about pedal movement. The ECM hence directs a MOtor to alter the amount of fuel that enters the engine. This is not preformance related and is adopted for a better life for the components. This system also controls the engine from being over accelarated

Where there is a wheel, there is a way!
