U will not regret owning an i10., I like the front part of Ritz but back isnt that attractive.

As far as I know I10 has caputered almost all major markets like India, Europe Uk Brazil etc except US but Hyundai has plans to launch I10 for US market, n ofcourse there is a lot of demand for small cars in US.

I10 has good resale value than Ritz.,

The rest left to U

Please negotiate well for I-10. My uncle has bought it for just 4.25 for Magna. There could be difference due to taxes, but it should not be more than 7-10K. All in all I-10 score more if you consider all the factors. All the best.

@Dan - No doubt i10 really stand apart, wht great reviews ppl have given it

@Bhavin Shah - looks like if I decide to book it and give the initial amount I might get some more discount but the sales executive was pretty sure about not going beyond 20K

Also had a look @ the Ritz today.. gotta say a real nice car - very spacious, comfortable(both front and back), great specs but delivery in 6 weeks Surprised looks like its in great demand.

Only Ritz LXI fits in my budget that comes OR to arnd 4,53,287/- NO Discount watsoever

but gotta say i10 looks like the most critically acclaimed of all of them great reviews. But whts this about Ritz having a Base IV engine and acrdng to some new norms all new cars need to have dat engine.

I kinda chkd out Punto 1.2 Petrol as well that comes to arnd 4.7 lacs OR, kinda out of my budget but for the great looks(best among all the hatches) + performance + more sturdy + stability and brand name I can chip out extra but wat I am not sure is that is it worth it, i mean value for money, cos got very few reviews of Punto 1.2 Active on FE, ASS and above all maintenance.

I need to know is Ritz really a good buy for me that too the LXI version, or should I go with my heart and go for Punto, or go for the most trusted i10 and be tension free

Its hightime I decide one.Undecided

Sumit I have asked you this and asking you again - did you test drive Vista? Let me remind you that test drives comes for free. Dont buy it fine... just take a test drive with your family and tell me their views here.

Let me also tell you that whatever you buy make sure everyone in your family is happy with the car.

If your family is big, go for RITZ. If its small go for i10. It depends on YOUR needs.

Hi Sumit,

Punto petrol is not the best buy. If you are planning for a diesel, then Punto comes first in the list. So I guess it's really a matter of i10 and Ritz. I agree Ritz is costly, but If you can afford, it's the best buy in petrol.

I don't agree i10 has more resale value than ritz. Already there is a 20K discount for a 1 year old car. Discounted cars always have more depreciation. We can't predit Ritz discount also, but comparing with the sales and maruti's history, there is little chance to get a discount for ritz in the near future. Remember swift after 5 years, still going with 0 discounts.

By buying I-10 Magna over Ritz Lxi, you will be saving some amount of money, and will get few more features, I guess. Due to it's weight, Ritz will deliver bit lower mileage compared to I-10. AS per report on various sites, I-10 has better breaking than Ritz. So there are more points in favour of I-10. I would recommend I-10 over ritz. Punto is good if you are going for Diesel.

All the best.

U have to agree this BIJS. If u have ne idea that at presently i10 is the most demanding car around the world, and about the discount on i10., no company wants to go in loss,if im not wrong. The reason to give discounts are customer attraction, now a days people r bargaining from tomato to airline fares to cars etc. So thats a marketing tech, when a customer walks in if hes serious of buying a car he will expect some discount too. And if Maruti doesnt attract by giving discounts they are loosing customers.,

20 years ago India had Ambassdor, Fiat Padmini, n 800, I want to ask in this forum who wants to stick on to Maruti??, very less, but now there are wide range of car companys giving customers more features than expected in marutis, Retirement time for MARUTI.,

The another reason for discounts the cost of production of the car might be cheap., any business looks for profit., no one sells it at a loss.

If many people buying a car there is also demand for parts., thats what happened for 800 and Alto.they had their piece of the market, but now the demand for 800 n alto is diminishing, n maruti expected Astar a big hit but its a big loss, n then came the Ritz., I hope atleast it stands in the competition.

And if no one is buying a particular car the production is stopped. And the parts also becomes scarce, or expensive.
