Check i10 1.2 Magna Limited edition with alloy wheels, music system, fog lamp, seat cover, spoiler etc. i10 in city gives 13-14 in city with AC and 17-18 in Highway with AC.

It must be a dealer trim as I have also seen one at Bengal Hyundai. They have named it Magna Plus and it costs 40k more than Magna.

But it doesn't have alloy wheels AFAIK.

Cheers

Hi Sumit,

Looking at your requirements i10 will be a good choice at the moment.

If I were you and If I put A.S.S/Economy on TOP then I would wait for couple of months for a Swift with K-Series (1.2 ltr) engine which is doing its duty in Ritz.

Maruti will surey replace Swifts 1.3 G13B engine with Ritz 1.2 K-series to meet
Bharat Stage IV emission norms and primarily to increase its profit margine by saving some tax [1.2 lts engine + sub 4mtrs length].

You may check out with Maruti dealer when exactly they are planning to launch it.

Ritz is also a good option if you are fine with its odd looking rear.

Incase you are looking for a better CAR go for Fiat Grande Punto 1.2 Ative since you have a tight budget or 1.4 Dynamic.

What you will get in Punto:

1. Handling

2. Ride quality

3. Rear seat comfort

4. Looks and style

5. Confortable front seats

5. Build quality

6. Some basic features that you may not get in a base version of Maruti Car.

What you may not get:

1. FE of 15-17 KMPL in city. It will be arround 10-13 KMPL in city and 14-15 KMPL on highway.

2. Sportyness and engine refinement of Ritz/Swift incase you choose GP 1.2 Active.

You may also have a look at Tata Indica Vista Petrol. Top End varient should fit in your budget. I would request you to personally TD GP and Vista instead of asking others.

Good luck.

thanks @SAM for the detailed advice

thanks @ DAN for the alloy wheels advice.... ya even I've seen the sportz model and it looks pretty cool.

Looks like A Star is totally out of the picture..... looks thoda sporty from outside but got to hear a lot of drawbacks from people.

so it comes down to i10, Ritz and Punto, yet to chk out OR Price for all models of i10 Frown

Hi

I suggest u go for the Ritz or Punto.I10 is a good car but is A segment car.The ritz and punto are B secment hatches.I10 is a city car.

Here are a few options

U can go for the Maruti Suzuki Ritz Vxi BS IV( Navi Mumbai ) which will cost u Rs 4,69,776 on road. This will be ur first option as ur usage in a week requires a petrol engine a must. The Ritz is Definetly a good option. It has a good fuel efficient engine, good performance, good ASS,nice interior, spacious and comfortable, good resale value, low maintenance and BS4.

Hi All,

Finally chkd the OR price of i10 and Spark

well it comes out that both are equally spacious front and back, didn't get

the test drive tho

heres the on-road deal for i10

Era 1.1 - 4,36,530 =>central locking,front pow window, MDPS (whts dat?),odo

+ trip meter and the usual

Magna 1.2 - 4,66,505 => all specs of Era + rear power window ,tilt

steering,taco meter,wheel cover

and ya NO DISCOUNT !

I kinda scared to have all power windows cos in Mumbai 26 July rains an

incident occured wherein ppl got locked and the power window failed to work

and dey culdnt get out !

and heres the OR deal for Chev Spark

Spark 1.0 - LS 4,07,028 => pow steering,front pow window,fog lamps,satin

silver roof rails, wheel cover,

Spark 1.0 LT - 4,41,391 => central locking, rear spoiler,defogger

But dere is a whooping 40,000 discount on all models of Spark and dey've

got like Chevrolet Advantege and Chevrolet Promise stuff with dat

So here is the final price of all my shortlisted cars

A Star LXI - 4,04,579, VXI - 4,35,355

Fiat Punto 1.2 Active - 4,69,917

Hyundai i10 - Era 1.1 - 4,36,530 , Magna 1.2 - 4,66,505

Chev Spark LS - 407028 - 40000 = 367028
       LT - 441391 - 40000 = 401391

I kinda like Ritz but the folks @ my place donn like the rear looks and so

are not so enthu buying it + its costly

Swift is good but comes to arnd 5 lac OR so out of my budget.

ppl pls help me decide cos I want to book it asap

Thanks.

Here goes my list,

i10 1.2 Magna > Spark 1.0 LT > Astar VXI > Punto 1.2 Active.

I don't think all power windows can fail due to water or somthing. In those extreme cases the entire elec system can fail which could lock up the doors too. Expert advise to keep a small hammer with the tool box to deal with those extreme situations.

So don't worry (only ) for power windows.

Do take test drives before finalizing...

I dont know about u, but I hate the looks of A-Star. I would say take no-risk and go for i10. However i am a bit surprised as to why you are not thinking about Vista. In its class it gives the most space and comfort. I was in the same situation as you couple of months back, and booked Vista Safire Aura (top model) - OR price was 4.4. Needless to say I am happy with it.

Still for whatever reason (maybe you dont like TATA Brand) - if you are not interested in Vista, then i10 should be your choice.

4.66 L for i10 1.2 Magna. Hope it is not the limited edition. I have bought 1.2 Magna at 4.09L six months back with no accessories from the Dealer. One by friend has purchased it one month back with a price of 4.15L and Dealer gave hime Fog Lamp and Third Year Warranty Free. The price diffrence will not be so hue in Mumbai. So please wait for some time to get a good deal. i10 is really good car.
