Hi Friends,

I have planned to buy a tata sumo 1997 model. The ca has crossed nearly 1.5 lakhs kms. The previous owner has repaired and serviced the engine, suspension, steering balls, new fitted roof a/c, the front and back parts are completely replaced with sumo victa spares, repainted with new model stickers. For what cost can i buy this vehicle. He is demanding 1.7 lakhs as he has spent a lot. The engine still has run 50000 kms after complete service of engine. I ve planned 2 purchase dis vehicle for sure as i liked it for my budget as of now. Any Ups and Downs in this car.........................................

Resale price is basically determined by the year/model, kms done & current condition of the car - and not on how much money has been spent thereon.

The price demanded is more than double of the market price - have a look at the valuation (approx).

I also doubt how reliable the speedometer reading of 1.5 lac kms could be (12 years old Sumo).  If it's genuine, how come 80K of repairs was required at 1 lac kms (has run 50K after the repairs).  That's too early.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.
