Vista petrol will give you 12 in city with AC.

i10 would give you 13 in same conditions.

Thanks Ami,

But can I consider Gets 1.1 GVS here compare to i10 1.2 (Because of more space, mileage & little cheaper than i10)

I guess Gets will give same mileage as Vista TDI, if this is true I can select this too and this can avoid me from diesel maintenance also.

Getz gives an FE less than or equal to that of Vista Saffire. It cannot match the FE provided by Vista TDI.

Getz 1.1 can be considered now because of the attractive pricing that it has.

Deepak

Expect around 15+ KPML with AC in city. I've driven TDI versions of Indica/Indigo. Have been quite satisfactory.

Our fellow members Greenhorn and Pankaj own Indica TDI. They will give you a better picture.

Dear Ranjit, don't get too weightage to TDi just fot price & Diesel. It is way behind when you compare it with QJD and Kappa of I-10. Refinement, NVH and perfromance are much better in QJD & Kappa. Though both TDi and QJD gives more or less same F.E. 17/18 in city 21/22 on highway, QJD should always be the choice considering it's technology, refinement & resale value. After 5 years down the line TDi will not fatch much value. So overall cost of ownership will be more or less same in QJD & Tdi.

For your kind of usage and even for future increase in usage I would suggest you to go for I-10 or Vista Saffire. I would go for Diesel only if my usage is more than 1500 kms/month. You can also consider Ritz. Don't go for Getz 1.1, it is too sluggish and the technology is also very old. My 1.1 GEtz give F.E. of 10/11 in city and 14 on highway, with AC on.

All the best.

it wouldnt be correct to compare the TDi with the Kappa for the fact that one is a petrol engine and the other a diesel. TDI can still be compared to TDCi, QJD, CRDi etc as all are diesel technologies.

@Ranjit, you have a run of only 700kms a month. A diesel is a good option if you have a run of 1k kms a month or higher. You can very well do with the Kappa which is a good performer. Diesel will fetch more resale than a petrol some years down the line but then there is not use going in for a diesel for the kind of run you have

Why break rules when following them is much easier!!!

Thanks Ami & Centaur.

So as per your suggestion, in case of diesel, I should go for QJD only, however in Petrol, I10 Kappa. But truly saying I like Vista model. So is it ok if I think about SAFIRE instead of i10? Also the reason behind my thinking is cost difference between (Aqua) SFIRE & TDI is 35K. So I thought this is more or less at par, diesel TDI could be economic to run over SFIRE even for my 700Kms per month. But still I'll try to stretch my budget for QJD, if this could not be done then please tell me which to choose in my budget (4.25L max on road) according to my usage.
