I have a Magnum D (LS) bought it on Nov 2008 driven about 12000kms so far uptodate i have never faced any problems and im more satisfied .Coming to your point regarding ground clerance its not at all a problem in magnum compared to a honda civic or skoda octavia which i found was poor in ground clerance . If your going for a diesel engine go for the Magnum its the best
Thanks Prabu,
Hows your experience with the service centre (A.S.S). I would be particulary interested to know that if you are from Bangalore. What are the maintenance costs and spares replacements duration.
I realise your car would still be under warranty, but any information on the frequency of spares replacements would be helpful in pre-empting the costs one may incur beyond the warranty period.
The reason I've been so persistent in asking about ground clearance is because i have read in several forums that the oil sump is easily damaged if you go over an uneven speed bump and that it does not have a protective plate beneath it.
But, what you've mentioned in your post makes me much more confident...12000Kms without any such problems is great to know.
I guess it all depends on how you drive.

yup centaur is right , i purchased it a year back , n thats why i m clarifyin those doubts , i purchased optra magnum LT TCDI model which costd around 11 , i ve not experiencd any cluch problems in stop n go traffic , though it takes some time to get used to its massive torque
Thanks Sourabh...hows the stock ICE in the car. Do you get any door rattling when you 'pump up the volume'
Did you ever feel the need to change it ...
How about the ACC, does it cool the cabin adequately in hotter months, (have you installed window films and do you think its actually neccesary to help it cool quicker)
Do you notice any loss of power wth a full load and ACC on?
It's great to see postive feedback all over..certainly a good sign.
