the first one is the jbl gt0947 and the secon one is the polk db691 which would provide me good bass and clarity has ne 1 heard both of them.........

it seems tht jbl has 1db advantage over the polk bt the polk can handle the low and high frequencies better thn jbl and is the 400w claim realistic or is it a marketing startergy by jbl.....

Some people who come here, amaze me. Vaibhav, I will try and do this gently. As I see it:

1. You don't know what you want. You have'nt defined it to yourself. You may have a vague notion of what you're after but thats it. Why are you upgrading? what is the sound you want? Have you heard a good loud booming setup that you really liked and want to replicate?

2.  You will never know when to stop seeking info: Because of point 1, you will never know even if someone gave you a solution because, you would not be able to match the solution vs your needs to see if it fits. Thats why you're looking to validate what was suggested in some other forun, in this one.........how long will you keep seeking?

3. You need some more ettiquete: That means your knowledge is limited, so listen and learn. You're not at a point where you can have a discussion. Above all else don't patronise us. The numbers you put out to compare the speakers are worthless. Its like asking us to compare two cars one with two doors and one with four, one has a slightly bigger hood,.......just ask, which is the better speaker.

Think about the above, get some answers for yourself which will get you to ask the right questions here. Come back with the right questions and I will help you build an spl setup that will rock.

and by the way you cant hear a 1db difference. Now you know why you should stick to asking and not discussing?

i dnt knw dude y the f ur so frustrated,and i dnt knw who r u mayb a engg, mayb a professional,mayb a 1 who sells evething alrite i being a damm etrx enng can tell u 1db does make a diff there no point showing off wid ur knwledge and scream at the top of ur voice jst because u knw smethin alrite i am nt here 2 fite wid ne1 or smethin m jst here 2 share the knwledge alrite dude i hope u knw wts a human tendency 2 respond to the freqyencys and u accordingly choose speakers an etc and nt on the db and name and all 2o-22khz it is and the speakers producing the closest 2 them are the best on the planet and i think u must also knw tht a speaker producing 20-25khz gives u mre terble and the ones giving u 40-22khz gives u mre bass i assume u aiint an engg so helpin u out alrite dude and ya u being a professional u must also knw wt +/-3dB means the speakers havinf this specification always have and edge over others because the sound wnt have distortions over and below tht given frequency this is smething proven by the graphical method..................there are many things tht i knw and u dnt and there are many things tht u knw and i dnt alrite so instead of moaning lets help each other out alrite dude

1 polk db6501 driven by a 2chn sony amp

1 bass  tube and 2 subs driven b a mono amp jbl and ya each and eve 1 is connected in parallel 2 provide equal rms

and ya dynamat used on the doors,4 neon tubes aqua blue along with flashing xenons under the car this is wt i have installed if nething better thn this u can tell me or any changes 

and ya the tube and the subs work amazingly fine i mean they rock.........

I'm the frfusted one dude, you are frustrated by you ignorance which you fail to acknowledge. Its all well and good to have some bluster, but there must be some, an iota will do, of content behind that bluster. In your case even this iota is missing. So, mr electronic engineer, you want us to compare speaker quality based on mounting depth? DUH!!! How did you do your elec eng? Under some reserved quota?

Jez u cant even spell. You're ignorance is slapping in your face and you dont even know it. A speaker that is rated for 25k doesnt produce more treble. Dork head, u cant hear anything above 20k. So the speaker could produce 50khz and it would be pointless cause u would not hear it. Next the ratings are manufacturer claims how accurate are they? No one knows. The only thing that is certain, is that good brands will always under quote the specs and shitty brands will always over quote. So I'd rather take polk 40-22k over sony explode 40-25k kapish?
