Service cost of maruti alto / dzire etc.

I am owning a maruti alto since last 4 years.

I give my vehicle for servicing every 5k kms and my vehicle has clocked 55k kms.

My question is every servicing cost is coming to around 4k. Is this ok for an alto.

I feel the servicing cost for an alto should be less. So I wanted to confirm with fellow alto users.

How much does it cost for you guys for a normal servicing.

Also have one query regarding the service interval of swift Dzire and Fiat Linea both diesel.

Is there a difference in the service interval of the above mentioned cars as I have booked a Dzire diesel.

Have you spent 4K for servicing at an interval of every 5K - that works out to 44K in 55K kms to total use? I think there is some confusion/typo.  It's exorbitantly high (for any car).  Alto is known to be very cheap on maintenance.

I'm not aware of the service intervals/details but Fiat Linea has longer service intervals.

Today I had the servicing done for my alto for the 55k service schedule.

I paid 4.5 k for the service which includes engine oil change and engine decarbonization.

Last servicing at 50k had cost me 3.8k.

I always get the servicing done from Mandovi motors in Bangalore - the same dealer from whom I bought the car. Initially though the service costs were around 3k. Does it mean that as the vehicle gets around 4 years old the servicing cost increases? Even so I feel that the service cost is on the higher side for an alto. Recently booked a Dzire diesel, so a little concerned about the future service cost for the diesel dzire as diesel vehicles usually has higher service cost.

Service cost paid by you for Alto is definitely high (with or without oil change) - initially or now.

Service cost of diesel cars are 'not really' higher than their petrol counterparts.  The total maintenance cost (spares & repairs) works out to 10-15% higher.  That's not substantial & is spread over the period of ownership.  Nothing to worry.

Don't worry about DZire diesel. It will not cost you for regular service as spent by you for your alto unless you change the service centre.

For first service I paid Rs. 551 and for second service Rs. 900 for my DZire Diesel. Third service is due with in a month.

Does the service center give you a breakup of the charges ?
Please insist on a breakup of the spares/labour. If Rs. 4k is the regular maintainence cost you incur
for every service interval of 5k kms for an Alto, it is too much on the higher side.

I have recently done the service for Alto 2005 model

Last time SK wheels has charged me 15000 rs for the service and this time , they have charged 8000 rs

service center had done followimng this tyre - 3200rs,oil filter,200,airfilter,100,break pad,550 rs,engine oil,650,cleaning with chemical he took 150 rs , greasing of gear box,stearing,shoker he charged 1500 r, he changed the indicator sensor in rs 200

total cost was 6350 also he chaged the light in 900 (190 watt) so inn total cost was 7250 rs

Just want to know is the money charged from is Justified or not or I am fool to pay that amount .

I want to know what is service and what are the things incudes in service

It's servicing + repairing.  I'm not aware of the charges but in case of some items those sound high.  Can you elaborate on tyre charges (3200) & light/bulb (900).  Greasing etc. (1500) sounds very high.
