DB: Please share bill with parts prices.

Alto is known for low maintenance. The service cost is too much in my opinion.

Diesel cars are not high on maintenance these days.

@ Feroz: Maximum we paid for Ford Fiesta TDCi is 3400/- for 30,000 kms service.

40,000 kms service: 2211/-

50,000 kms service: 2000/-

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

I agree with Rajiv that Alto indeed is a very low cost maintenace car and you need to be careful in decisions llike tyre balancing,nozzle cleaning etc,do these only if required.Also,ask serv ice centre to give you used parts taken out from your car.Try some other service centre who has better reputation and then see.

@Rajiv:

I don't remember the previous bill amounts but have the last two service cost that too the total amount.

I paid 4.5 k for 55k service which includes engine oil change and engine decarbonization. 50k service had cost me 3.8k. I feel its the wheel balancing and allignment costs that add upto such huge amounts.

I sold it at 60k to true value at 1.52 lacs.

@Nipun:

I used to get my car serviced from one of the reputed dealers in Bangalore - Mandovi Motors. They always used to give the old spare parts back if there was any replacement. Having said that I feel the service costs were way too high for an alto car.

Don't worry about DZire diesel. It will not cost you for regular service as spent by you for your alto unless you change the service centre.

For first service I paid Rs. 551 and for second service Rs. 900 for my DZire Diesel. Third service is due with in a month.

 OMG for dizer 1st servicing u paid only 551/-???? im wondering  as  i paid 1800/-for ritz ldi 1st servicing that included engine oil ,gear oil change...n for 2nd i paid 650/- for wheel alignment n wheel balancing.

Hi

I paid for my Dzire ZDI 1st service Rs.725.(645+tax) it is Only Engine Oil change. There is No need to change the Gear oil. IGear oil needs to be changed once in 20,000 KM also change Fual Filter and Air Filer too at  that time.
