Well, performance & mileage are like opposites - more of one means less of the other. However just adding an intercooler should improve things - I have seen this with my car that in mumbai winter (25-27 deg C) the mileage was good (although this could also be because I did not use the AC during this time).

If i knew any ways to improve the performance of an indica, I would have done it on mine already

the best you can do is try adding system D to your diesel. should make your engine a little bit smoother

I have used Premium & Normal fuels, and have tried System D as well.  I have been using System D (with normal diesel) since a year now.  My experience with System D has been very good - have a look at this old discussion - page 9 & 10.

Hi,

I was walking through JC Road, Bangalore & i saw one shop where they fit a turbocharger to non turbo diesel cars. As i own a Hyundai Sonata & there r turbo petrol cars available in the market, i went over there & asked about the same but the shop keeper told me that still this technology is not available for petrol cars.

Further i asked him about the aproximate cost for the same for diesel cars & he convayed that it will be around 15K for the Indica.

U just check with them at the below contact: mmtscblr@yahoo.co.in & their contact no:9972921475 ( Mr. J. Sudhendra).

And if any one  u come to know about any modifications for the petrol cars to improve performance & milage, then plz plz let me know...@ **************** share it here in the forums.

Post edited to remove personal contact details, and redraft suitably.
