Hi,

I'm planning to buy a car and my budget is 4L. I have WagonR strongly into consideration. I would like to know whether I can go for WagonR VXi (petrol) or WagonR DUO.

Any other fully loaded with Low Maintenance, Good Mileage, and valued car avail in the market in this budget?

Thanks in advance.

Arun

Well it depends on the run you have .... if your run is substantially high for every month then you can opt for DUO ... else avoid it as LPG can lead to more maintainance ...whereas Petrol Wagon-R is completely hassel free. There are discounts on offer for petrol variants. This will bring down your car cost by 25K....

Other cars to look out for in this range are Santro & Spark. i10 will be higher on budget.

AS suggested by Amit, LPG is to be considered only when you run high. Compared to Wagon-R,  I-10 Era makes more sense. Though it has 1.1 epsilon engine, it is more modern car than wagon-r and most spacious in the list. You will get power Steering, Front Power windows and AC as standard fitment. Central locking is to be installed, if needed. It comes around 4 Lakh. All the best.

the 1.2 kappa will make more sense than the iRDE era. the spark is a good option and you are free for 3 years of any maintenance cost. all you pay is the fuel bill. it is also a good performerIs also has most of the things you require. Apart from this you have the indica vista which is a VFM in all respects. Take a TD of all these cars and then decide

HI

i10 Era would be a better choice than Wagon R.  Take a test drive of both vehicles with ur family and take a collective decision.

i10 Kappa will be better and at the same time will be expensive than his budget. We live in Bangalore and pay the highest RT for no road city ( rewarded by TOI).

Arun - Knowing that Wagon R is a real good car. I would still recommend you a Santro for its sheer no rattle behaviour. My bro is using a Wagon R and always keeps the odo < 70 and  on the contrary, i walways keep it >70. Trust me I could hear rattles every where. It doesn't feel good you know, listening to rattles just 3 months after purchasing.

However, we had a Santro before that I sold off 6 months back. Trust me man, it was amazing. I would recommend you to take Wagon R and Santro on a road with numerous potholes. You would appreciate the build quality of Santro.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I'm planning to have a TD on GLS santro which fits on to my budget and conclude. Thanks again for wonderful suggestions.
